Changes coming to the eIDF
eIsraeli Defense Force
Over the last two months, eIDF Senior Command has been working on a plan to adjust to the changing needs of the military under v2. The changes have been approved, and later this week they will be implemented. We are starting the new organization now so the soldiers and officer have a chance to adjust to a new way of operating before v2 comes into play.
So what is changing?
We will be organized along functional lines. We will still have the traditional Private>Sergeant>Lieutenant>Maj or command chain, but along with their units, each soldier will also belong to a functional group – either Strategy, Quartermaster/Logistics (supply chain), or Communications/Translations. A description of the new organization can be found here:

New Divisions and old
The Training Corp will take on two new roles. Along with training new recruits (Boot Camp), the TC will also be responsible for the new Officer Training School (OTS) and the Reserve Corp. Officer Training School is fairly self-explanatory. The Reserve Corp will be similar to the current Defense Corp Second Platoon in that it will not be a deployable force, and will be tasked with defending eIsrael if she is attacked. It will also have a somewhat expanded role than the current DC 2n
😛
The Reserve Corp will include:
-Recent graduates from Boot Camp who are waiting for a spot to open in the Defense Corp
-Recent graduates of Boot Camp who do not want to deploy
-Recent graduates from Boot Camp who are not active enough for the Defense Corp
-Anyone currently in elected office
The Defense Corps will be limited to soldiers who:
-are willing and able to deploy when needed (though deployment is not guaranteed – it will be determined on a battle by battle basis)
-are willing to spend time each day chatting on IRC with their squadmates
-are active both in the game and on the forum
What now?
Shortly all members of the current eIDF will be placed in their appropriate places in the new organization. If you have not yet, you will receive a roll call message requesting your times of normal activity. This information will be used to place you in your new unit. Anyone who does not respond in a timely manner will be placed in the Reserves and may reapply to the Defense Corps at a later time.
We expect to still have some officer positions available when the current soldiers are moved. We will be accepting applications from current eIDF members for those positions once they are identified.
The current recruitment application will be closed. Once we are ready to accept new recruits, we will open a new recruitment application for citizens to apply to the new organization. We will post the application link once we are ready to accept new recruits.
tl:dr
-eIDF is changing
-If you aren’t active or you are in the Knesset you’ll be in the Reserves
-Answer your Roll Call when you get it
More?
I’m sure there will be questions about this change. If you want more information, come to the forums and post your question here:

really good job!!!!

Looks good.
Okay 🙂
Changes - You lost me .
Only down hill from here ...
Sounds really nice, BUT,
first of all we don't really know from the insiders all the information regarding the changes that are coming, so we can't really focus now on adjusting to such a changes.
And secondly, in my personal opinion, the current structure purposed is too complicated, and maybe won't really work, again, because of our lack of information.
In my opinion the eIDF should focus on the guidelines of a new structure, and especially on organizing all the current soldiers and their commanders under that structure.
Our biggest problem now as I see it within the eIDF is the lack of communication between all the branches.
Trying to do more than that now is inefficient and pretty much a waste...
RUSTY RANDY FOR MOD
Lack of communication between all the branches??? What are you talking about? We have 2 divisions - Training COrps and Defense Corps. All the senior officers from each branch regularly speak. ANd I speak to all of them so they can all know what is going on. I have no idea what you're talking about there....
@Maelyn, thats right, tear them up....lol
looking forward to the changes.
@Maelyn, what i'm talking about ?!?
I have no idea about my specific unit structure except the man who gives me orders.
I don't even have an idea who you are ! And as I understand you part of eIDF !
I have no idea who else can I address when my commander is not responding !
I have no idea why I get the orders I get.
So I'm VERY glad that ALL the SENIOR officers talk to each other, but i'm pretty sure that all the members of eIDF would like to understand things better and be more involved in the eIDF, unless of course it is your private army !
If that seems right to you then sorry for me trying to SPEAK OUT !
IDF Soldier, if you're commander isn't responding to you, that's your cue to get in contact with the brass (aka the senior officers). They will make the changes to ensure that an active commander is leading the unit.
Don't blame them for your lack of motivation when you know something is clearly in the wrong.

wow. really impressive. voted and subed.
@IDFSoldier - are you registered on the forums? (Which is, by the way, a required part of being in the eIDF). If so, take a look in the eIDF board. We have a listing of all commanders there, so you should never have to ask who your CO is, or who his CO may be. I am listed there as well. Also, the forum is a great place to ask questions and find out information. For instance, orders are posted there, as well as announcements for what is coming up (like v2 - we've been talking about it ont he forums for weeks). If youtruly want to be more involved and understand more then getting on the forums would be your best first step.
And, oddly enough - even a regular soldier can talk to other soldiers there! Magic!
