To coincide with real life Melbourne Cup Day with have eRepublik eAustralia Day.

For those non-Aussies, Australia is possible the only race in the world where a state has a public holiday for a horse race!

The first Tuesday in November is the running of the Melbourne Cup - the world's richest 3,200 metre (2 mile) handicap race - this year it's the 150th running.

So in real life Australia, when there is a major race on, a few things need to be looked after.

First, you head down to your local TAB to put a bet on.

Once you've cleaned up at the TAB or with the bookies, it's only right you bring out the drinks.
