My dear citizens of FRoSEA, comrades of arms and brothers of e-nations,
You have given me a chance to flourish in this nation. You have given me an opportunity to represent you in the Congress on my inaugural congressional election. You have given the best newspaper audience - with critical comments and critiques, openness of mind and generous votes and subcriptions. Your president has given me the chance to serve you as the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Education. All that had happened within the last 46 days of my e-life.
In the critical juncture of our enation's history, with the growing baby-boomers and with many of our citizens between level 2 and 9, our nation needs its best leaders. You need political party and its congressmen/women to be there, to listen to you, the public and to stand for your rights and vision for this nation. You need congressmen/women that runs for election to contribute to the nations, not simply for the medals. FRoSEA and you needs both experience and fresh congressmen/women to chart a great future for the nation!
Grand rhetoric aside, allows me to briefly highlight some of my strengths, contributions and vision for this nation, as a YOUR congressman. This congressional election platform, is the evolution of my my first congressional platform, which i still hold true.

Education Program and Youth Mentoring
I have previously written many articles, some of which were very well received by both the readers and the leaders of the nations - including the FUP Unity Award winning article - on the Social and Education Programme for FRoSEA. I am passionate about making sure our babies and youth received the best education and mentoring - in order to achieve a fulfilling life in eWorld. This was too, the first item of my first-term platform. Retrospectively speaking, i think i have been moderately successful in pushing for educational reforms in FRoSEA. Evidently from the increase number of active mid-level citizens like myself (level 8-15), i believe good education (forums, articles, irc, 1-1 mentoring) is crucial in creating an active community in FRoSEA. Being YOUR congressman gives me more leverage to campaign for ministerial and leadership decisions. More of the education reform and mentoring programme in near future!

FRoSEA forum
I want to enlarge the scope and use of the FRoSEA forums, particularly in relation to the education, social and military programmes. While I believe there has not been significant increase in forum activity in the past 20+ days, I will keep pushing for wider moderation power and for more sub-forums as part of the on-going effort to rejuvenate and reorganise the forums. I strongly support my fellow DAP candidate - nicholas2000 in his 'crusade' to encourage participations in the forum. Being YOUR congressman, i will represent your voice in the Congress forums, and i will disseminate the necessary info back to you.

Passionate leader and youth citizen of FRoSEA
I believe this to be my key strength and i am happy to see many other new young citizens like Tendou , virus13, seanlam, Nowe (congress candidate / Deputy Minister) , TunPerak II , daBoss (our unofficial joker), malaysian (ourChinesemedia writer) , gugugagaour (young RL Malaysian entrepreneur, sunlightz, and of course aily (our Malay writer/journalist). There are also many passionate older citizens, quietly churning out taxes, profits, jobs, organisation and leadership that would be too long to list here - but the point is - vote me for Congress - you will get one active passionate Congressman.

Experience
Being a 46-days 'teenager', i do not wish to expound on my experience. However, as some had advised, experience matters to the voters. To convince you that i am not just a newbie trying to secure a quick 5 gold congress medal, here are some of my limited experience:
► 1st term congress representative for Penisular Malaysia, under DAP, with the 6th highest numbers of votes. (being in PM does help 😛
)
► Current Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Education, under Badlands17 presidency.
► Proud editor-in-chief of Chronicle of Democracy - Viva, the co-winner of FUP outstanding article award. This newspaper will soon be enlarged to be a syndicate newspaper (with various writers and reporters) with more constant high quality articles.
► I will be taking over e-Ambassador to eIndonesia from Jeff Shiiste (another DAP candidate).

National policies
In all honesty, congressmen/women do not 'decide' the national policies for most of the time - particularly when important political votes are done in-bloc. Thus, i shall not dwell too much on my personal opinion on the Domestic (Education and Education), Foreign, Economics, Immigration, Military, policies too much. I will briefly summarise my standing on these issues/topics below, while my newspaper articles often contain my opinions on this issues:
► Domestic (Social): Maintain current Social Office budget/programme. We need to save on wellness packs by providing better education (before newbies' wellness get below 40).
► Domestic (Education): We need structured education and mentoring programme, as i discussed above.
► Foreign: Neutrality is key for our nationhood. I believe we need to constantly work towards neutrality. Unlike many others, i do not think Sol as the only approach towards neutrality. As the world order (peace,eden-fortis etc) changes, I fear Sol might one day be part of the larger war puzzle. I am for the expansion of Sol games, only if all the major powers are invited/involved.
► Economics: Nagyzee (dap candidate as well) 's finance management is astute. I know, because he is my employer, and he keeps reducing my wages. I like his conservative save-for-the-rainy days approach, as i think FRoSEA needs larger fund reserves to anticipate for the [url=href=http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/overproduction-issue-recession-and-its-relevance-967215/1/20]global recession, as I previously discussed here.the global recession as i previously discussed here[/url].
► Immigration: While i support a careful immigration policies (to avoid PTO or congressional medal thiefs etc), we need more citizens to be a stronger nation. With that said, i have yet to approve any new citizens this term as i couldn't see the immigration screening etc.
► Military: Vikta, Ryan, Ali, Jeff and their teams are doing a great job. However, as I do not support excessive spending of the govt as a whole, which also means i do not support passing out Q1 training weapons.

An excellent platform. I have a sneaking suspicion that you will sail back into Congress.
I would ask you to reconsider your stance on training of the military, and funding of the TDM in general. The TDM has very few active members - fewer than are on the already-small roster. We may not be like those countries where a soldier can get a salary of over 1 gold per day on top of their normal work salary, but I do think that we need to encourage active participation in a way that also benefits the nation. A nation gets the army it deserves, and if it doesn't want to pay for it then what does it deserve?

gertrude - thanks! I do think myself and my DAP colleagues will face a stiff challenge. As for the funding for TDM - honestly, looking at the sum of expenses - i don't think we are in the position to spend so much on training. Question would be - what if they leave this nation? Do they have to repay the cost of training them up? What about private citizens who fund their own training (like myself)? If the country is well run, our economy will generate wages that would pay for 3Q1 weapon aday for level 14 and up anyway.
@kryteshyft. Thanks. I mean, we would save on giftness/wellness pack (under Social welfare program) if we remind all the newbies to have Q1 food in the first place and not to work in Q2-Q3 companies. IT would be cheaper to the nation in that way.

Good luck, Carr De Vaux! As a recent newcomer to the site, this will be the first election I will be able to vote in. I read your article on education and thought it was brilliant. I just reached level 6 and still have much to learn. I voted for this article & subscribed to the paper!
I'm sorry, but more than 50% of this article is pointless to read.
I'm not going to want to read parts of a presentation that have no bearing on anything related to the office itself.
