Cartography 101 or the first penstroke

Hello and welcome,

It's George here with another edition of Cartography 101. I will give a summary of all the recent changes in the world since yesterday.

Here's what's happene😛

UK conquered Nunavut and attacks the Canadian capital, Manitoba today.

Canada has started a RW in Newfoundland, which looks like it will most likely be successful.

USA allowed France to liberate Brittany, expanding their territory to 2 regions.

Poland continued its attack on Serbia with the conquest of Sicily and an attack on Calabria.

Bulgaria liberated Sofia from Greece, but lost another territory, Vidin, to Romania, who now controls all but 1 of Bulgaria's original regions.

Estonia continued its invasion of Finland with the capture of Western Finland.

Thailand conquered Rajasthan and is attacking India's last territory today.

Argentina reconquered Southern Australia from the Aussies as well as conquering Low Andes from Peru after a failed Peruvian attack on Pando.

Chile conquered Canterbury and is attacking New Zealand's last territory, Otago.

Yesterday we introduced a new Section: Geography Trivia! Everyday I will post a picture of some geographic locale on the world map and the first person to comment the correct answer gets a Q7 Tank! (Sorry I'm poor that's all I can do 😁
No one correctly guessed yesterday's question. The correct answer was Kronstadt Island, home of the Kronstadt Sailors, who were the elite shock troopers of the Red Army!

Here's our second Question:

Can you name this island chain off the coast of Scotland? If this territory was to be added to eRepublik, which already existing country would own it?

And Now the Congress update.

The Country President elections are taking place today. A lot of controversy surrounds front-runner Aleksander V Popovich, who recently returned to the eUK after a time in Montenegro to quite an uproar. Despite this, he has endorsements from #1 and #2 Parties, the UKPP and TUP as well as from #5 PCP. This support may be hollow as many UKPP and TUP members have become disillusioned with their parties, because their PPs endorsed Aleks without consulting the Party. Many, myself included, have thrown their support behind dark horse candidate Seuzo31 from the relatively unknown WBUKP. Aleks is a great guy and one of my old friends from the old days, but I personally believe Seuzo31 is the best possible choice, not to mention this is our way of sticking it to MWC for not consulting the party in his decision. a. even if Aleks wins, there will be considerable dissent and not much will be accomplished in his term. b. Seuzo is a RN guy and as an ex-RN member I have found Seuzo to be a very patriotic and pragmatic guy, so I believe he will do well. and c. As a member of a non-Top 5 party he has the opportunity to promote non-partisanship and greater cooperation across party lines.

So if you take my advice vote Seuzo!

Currently, the voting sits at Aleks in 1st place with 70 votes, Seuzo in second place with 50 votes, and Rodney trailing with only 30 votes.

That's All Folks,

George Hannover
