Candidate for the Presidency of the United States: Emerick Kun

Day 1,226, 19:04 Published in USA USA by Emerick

Good evening, America

It is with great pleasure that I officially announce my candidacy for the presidency of the United States of America. I am proud to say that I am assembling a team competent and diverse (as you will see shortly, my vice president has a completely different background than my own), making no distinction between party, military unit, or any other sort of organization that a person can belong to. To attest to this, I spent last night messaging the party president of every top 20(!) party, besides Ajay and iNCi. Ajay because of the obvious, and iNCi because I was told by depici that they are going to stay out of politics.

My goal, as it was last time I ran, and last time I was president, is to make a team with a healthy balance of veterans and noobs, to get people experience in the executive and build our future. This might sound hypocritical considering that I have more experience than most people in this country, but I have a track record of assisting the next generation in the past, I feel that my words carry weight.

Examples of those who's political careers I've assisted in the past:
Gaius Julius: who took over when I had to resign last time I was president. He went on to become Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and EDEN Supreme Commander after his tenure as president.
Josh Frost: who has been president for three non-consecutive terms.
Jewitt: who led the Three Pillars campaign and the invasion of the UK.
PiginZen: who is a great guy with excellent economic expertise. He now volunteers to pay for the server space holding our national forum.

I intend to help as many people as possible grow their career next month. This month's intern system was excellent. I used it many times in my foreign affairs department, and I know they were used by several departments to get a lot of work done quickly. I fully support this program and will definitely use it again next month, if elected.

Speaking of President Glove’s winning programs, I intend to carry over a few things that he began, such as the good relations with iNCi. I’ll have more about iNCi and their relationship with us in my next article.

But for now, my vice president choice:

Leroy Combs is an American legend and master of many fields. His extremely successful Cowboy companies have employed countless people, his tenures in congress have shown his legislative abilities, he’s been in the JCS and the military for years, he founded the CIA, and though he’s a grammar Nazi’s worst nightmare, his posts are always smart, well thought-out, and display his mastery of eRepublik. He’s a loyal American through and through, and I’m simply delighted that he agreed to join my staff as my partner in crime.

My choice to ask him to run with me came about because of my own weaknesses in eRepublik; namely my lack of economic knowledge. Though we have the Economic Council and congress at our disposal, I wanted a leader in the administration who spoke economic lingo to make final decisions regarding our economic instability. He’ll also be given many chances to use his other areas of expertise in my administration.

There's less than a week until the election, so let's get this campaign kicking~

See you on election day
