Candidate for Congress

Day 1,159, 14:00 Published in USA USA by Avruch

This month, in the Gulf of Mexico, I'm giving a run for Congress a try for the first time. As a candidate from the UIP, I hope to participate in the proceedings of Congress, contribute my experience in eRep and point of view to discussions, and foster better relations between Congress and the military.

I've been alive in eRep for just over a year, and during that time I've never strayed far from the military; I was an officer in TC from just after I joined until May 23rd, when I joined the Ranger program in what was then Army Group East. AGE became Cavalry, and I am now a Lieutenant General and the Executive Officer of Cavalry (2nd in command after General Ralph Ericson).

For this term I am running against Princefigs, who recently generated some controversy by posting his list of "un-endorsements" in an article that made it into the top 5. See here. I personally wouldn't take swipes at individual people like that in a high profile article, and some of the folks named (particularly the global moderator, Michael Porter, and Pearlswine, a long time analyst and advisor) have worked hard and tanked hard for the U.S. for a long time.

Please vote for me in the Gulf of Mexico on Congressional election day! I won't let you down.

(P.S.: Supplying moving tickets to those willing to move to vote, send me a PM and I'll send you two.)
