Canadian Priorities

I must admit, I have been rather discouraged of late by recent events. In the last 2 weeks, 4 new parties have been formed. While political diversity in and of itself is a good thing, we still have a war to fight. Our nation is still divided by a rapacious enemy determined to keep a hold on our territory!
4 parties, that's 160 gold spent on forming new cliques. 160 gold, that would have won us Manitoba 10 days ago. We cannot lose focus! My goal is the same, we must unite all of our sovereign territory under our flag, strengthen our borders and prevent the atrocities committed against Canadians from ever happening again to another people. To that end we must stay united and focused on the goal for now. Until we have total victory we must maintain our self discipline and focus our limited resources in order to win!
We can win, we will win. We have a military force gaining strength every day, a committed group of allies, and I hope, a dedicated and motivated army of citizen soldiers. With these tools the Hungarians alone cannot stop us if we are committed!
At this moment, two attacks against Hungary are underway, we can, if we work together win them both. I urge you to read the published battle orders found in our Ministry of Information newspaper. Stay informed, and stay involved in our fight for liberty!
While this article espouses only my own views, it closely parallels the views of our Prime Minister as can he seen in his Inaugural Address.

Stay focused. Winter is coming.

Agreed, and voted!
100% agreed.
People need to put aside their personal ambitions of becoming popular and running for prime minister, and focus on the common goal: getting back Canada.
Agreed and voted!!!!
United we will stand together in victory!!

I feel insulted for having to use my 40g for a new party. I paid for that gold and I think you should back off from what people intends to do.
Directive governed by government feeds nothing but more nationalism, as if eCanada is Canada itself. Please do distinguish real life from eWorld. Value of eWorld does not equal to being conquered by other nations in real life.
agreed, voted, and subscribed.
i think if somebody wants to spend their gold on a pink cadillac with 666" rims and a 700 liter V69 engine then thats their right.
more so if they bought the gold with their RL money.
Each of us contributes to this machine in their own way.
but i also totally see what you mean. 🙂
Without some diversity were going to have 5 more months of the same political clique in power. Who you support I might add.
Of course you don't want the status quo to change. We do and were forming parties because were not happy. There's obviously pro's and cons to what your saying. Like SS above me I get what your saying.

With all due respect, my friend, I find that it is the older parties that are "cliquish"
PimpDollaz, all parties are cliques, that's what makes them parties. My point is, Gold spent by citizens creating political parties, or more companies (when we have too many already) only removes gold from the economy.
I'm not saying people shouldn't try out all features of the game, from founding a Party, to starting a Company but right now, and for the next little while, Canada is still in jeopardy. So I'm suggesting doing things like investing in weapons, or take that hard earned gold, and invest it into Victory Bonds.
Then the Government has the resources to hammer away with our full force and take back our territory. Yes, it delays what you want to buy now, but you help the country, make a profit, and can still buy what you wanted to do, in the end anyway.
So give it some thought.

@5th Legion Northern Knights: I don't know if you have taken a look, but I have no political affiliation. I'm not a member of any party, and always cast my ballot for the good of the country as a whole. I don't want new political parties forming right now, because that Gold could be better spent in the short term.
As for supporting the status quo.. I've supported Canada, throughout. Nothing more, nothing less. Take a look at the Cabinet submissions for all 3 candidates in the last Presidential Election. All 3 candidates wanted me to do the same job, the job I'm doing now, the job I'm good at. That is all.

Goran, that is exactly what we are fighting for, the ability to form whatever party we want. Who are you to say that the established parties have more of a right to be here rather than the newer ones. You of all people must understand that we need more diversity to make our democracy work better, not less. I am really surprised to be hearing this out of you, and a little disappointed as well. People in this country work hard for their money, buy weapons and contribute to the economy by working and running companies. How they choose to spend that money is their right, and they do not need to be preached to by the establishment, kind sir.
I understand what you meant Goran concerning the gold. Alot of citizens are just sick of the same people and style of govt in power. There willing to spend gold to try and make a diffrence politically.
This country sux ass politically. No parody.
I am going to take a quick guess and say you voted for Jacobi and WD?
Peter Freedom can't support a party that puts their political aspirations ahead of the dream of a united Canada. A complete Canada is the #1 priority on Peter Freedom's mind. Also Peter Freedom says "Stay in school kids and don't do drugs".
Freedom Out!
In the Presidentials, then you would be wrong Alaricus.
PimpDollaz, first of all, since when am I the establishment? I didn't say the parties we have now, including yours should for some reason disband, as I just said, make a party if you want, but wait, and invest that money, make a profit, and buy your company, or make a party after we've won.
I also said we need political diversity overall, but we need consensus and combined strength in the short term to win. After we defeated The UK, France, and Iran most citizens returned to a business as usual mentality, yet the war is not over. Three of our regions are still in the hands of our worst enemy!
If we don't get them back soon, Hungary will continue to fortify and build up those regions until we have no choice but to buy them, and betray our friends if we ever want our nation to be whole again.

I blew all my cash on the last war this summer. Its time for some Rylde time. I'm broke after sinking all my gold into companies and am now a small business owner. I'd rather have something to show for my hard earned gold this time around.
I'm poor and I bought weapons yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks just for todays's battles. Some eCanadians are better off than others.
Right, I considered just stealing Yonsil's party, to save the gold for taking back a province but somehow I thought he might have been put off by that idea
Just a note, we won in Manitoba!
Hurray!

Yup - we took it back. Good article, Goran. I had a similar questiong itching at the back of my mind. It's a fine line between political freedom and a tight militarized economy. What we gain in one, we lose in the other. We won the battle and we have 4 new paries..win-win.
See, it's not so bad is it Goran? You see, it's taken us this long just to get it back, so people are not going to wait, and why should they? Forming a political party now does not in any way take anything away from the war effort, there is no good reason to wait till after we get everything back because people will might have to wait for a long time still. You see, Goran, we are generally in agreement here, political diversity makes us stronger. The so-called fringe parties involve people who would not otherwise join a party or become involved in politics. More parties NOW means better democracy, which means more ideas generated to make eCanada stronger. Now, who doesn't want that?
To me, a stonger, more developed political scene is just as good as fighting a battle. I would at least hope that people are open to hearing the ideas of people who are not in a major party. If they can't be heard, then they have to start their own party. When they choose to do it is their right, and I support their ambitions now and ever will.
lol @ bruck (a real out loud one)
to the others:
i'd just like to say as a relatively new player to this game if i waited until the "war" was over i'd never get to do anything in this damn game and i would have quit months ago.
Ok maybe king bruck and the other 3 should have saved 40 of their 6 million gold to use for weapons but really its a drop in the bucket man.
"My point is, Gold spent by citizens creating political parties, or more companies (when we have too many already) only removes gold from the economy."
Somehow I doubt that Jullius (level 15 founder of the United Communists of Canada) or jmzkrg (level 16 founder of the Libertarian Socialist Council) earned 40g by saving their wages. They probably saved their Hard Worker awards and may have bought gold.
I kinda agree though, Goran: I'd rather players TOed an existing party than founded a new one.
