Canadian Advancement Party
Bruck
Good evening eCanada
Official CAP banner coming, for now enjoy this picture of two of the greatest Canadians
http://www.erepublik.com/en/party/canadian-advancement-party-2746/1
Tonight I have the pleasure to announce to you all the formation of eCanadas newest political party, the Canadian Advancement Party. In recent days we have seen the emergence of several new parties including the return of CHAOS and the formation of the Canadian Anime party. But unlike these parties the Canadian Advancement Party has a solid platform, interest in promoting it's membership on a personal level, and the commitment and drive to push through and emerge a great and active party. The CAP and myself personally feel that there are several key issues that need to be addressed at the party and federal level and these issues will be the cornerstone of our party until they are mended. These key issues include the following; transparency, the economy, education, and military reform.
The Canadian Advancement Parties commitment to promoting Canada is founded on the principles that our government, and this party, must be transparent in all it's actions or it's actions should be questioned by the people. Too often have we seen the downward slide of withholding information and tight lipped secrecy become an avalanche of nothingness from our government. During my 2nd term as President I instituted this nations first transparency act which created the separation of Congress into open door and closed door. This system however is not perfict and can at times be abused while Cabinet often feels it has no need to be transparent. To doubt things are being done would be a mistake but we must ask ourselves, "what?" But if asked for accounting of the costs spent during the war, or after for that matter, I highly doubt our government could come up with any accurate figures. Furthermore, Congress has become increasingly segregated from the governing of our nation while the real power lies in our appointed cabinet where ministers are hired as political gifts and fired at whim. What I proposes is the compulsory addition of our nations elected Congressmen to Cabinet. Appointments of non Congressmen will remain but half should be made up of elected representatives who are knowledgeable in our nations top fields. This will bring Congress into a far more informed and involved position from it's current position of receiving information on and need-to-know basis. This is not how we should be treating our nations Congressmen, whom are elected to represent the people.
If transparency is the cornerstone of a government then the economy is the cornerstone of a nation. As we painfully learned some months ago, wars are won by gold and for a nation to survive it must have as much gold as it can possibly acquire. This is why the CAP will push and push until our nations gold reserves are overflowing and our nations citizens can afford any luxuries it wishes all while our nations businessmen enjoy a healthy profit. This will not be done by simply altering taxation rates. Raising or lowering taxes by a few points will not solve our economic problems overnight and it will take months for the markets to reach equilibrium again. What the CAP proposes is the creation of several government owned companies to meet domestic needs and regulate the markets. If our economy begins to slip the government will be capable of taking direct action as a stabilizing factor all the while bringing in much needed gold for the nations coffers. Besides government run companies what the CAP proposes is a heavy use of the Monetary Markets in investing government currency and translating it into more gold down the line. Furthermore, most of eCanada's big business' operate in the black market. For those of you that are uncertain of what I am talking about I mean they produce iron and then donate it directly to their weapons companies, as an example, thus bypassing taxation which can consume large quantities of profit. The CAP will push for an outreach program whereby organizations and business owners are contacted and agreements are worked out with each so that we can continue to keep them in the mix. These companies will be contacted and tax statements will be requested to ensure they are paying their taxes. The combination of these strategies with the continuation of regular CAD printing will see the rise of a strong Canadian economy that can withstand any foreign invasion, of course, with a little help from our friends.
Because of my personal experiences leading Bruck's Canucks I know the value of education on the personal level. Simply writing up and presenting long winded articles on "everything you ever wanted to know about erepublik, but were afraid to ask" isn't going to help the majority of new citizens. It won't even help a quarter, and that's counting just the active ones. Few new citizens will join erepublik and read 10 pages of FAQ's, and that's only if they join at the right time. The CAP and myself personally will push for a one on one approach to education and mentoring. I present a new school of thought to eCanada and it is tested and proven within the Canucks, a 100 strong citizen army. With the resources of a nation it will too succeed. Our nations Army will instruct new citizens/soldiers in a mentorship program. A complete overhaul of the current military system will be implemented (more on this in military reform). Platoons of ten members will be split into two units of 5 with each unit commander not only passing down orders but instructing it's members in all aspects of erepublik and keeping them involved and industrious. This means getting to know the citizens each unit leader is to instruct and helping them to get involved and stay active while showing them when they can do in erepublik if they stick it out. Each platoon commander will teach unit commanders finer points and so on and so forth until we get to the President who watches over the our nations executive and whom should be the knowledgeable of all. A link to this mentorship program would be included in the new citizens welcome message and as soon as they sign up they will be contacted by a unit commander who will request they join their unit and receive instruction right away. This program will show the new citizens that they are very welcome in our community, that they can easily get involved, and what they can do if they stick it out. This system also has several military applications as well as these citizens would all be directed to fight under the command of the CAF.
With this new system of mentorship we see the need for military reform. Having commanded the CAF long ago I recognize the need for some alterations and innovations to our current system. I would never speak ill of the CAF, our soldiers do a fine job and have proudly represented Canada on many occasions, but when new ideas present themselves only a fool would ignore them. As mentioned before, a complete overhaul of the military will be called for. The CAF as we know it will remain but a great push will be made to institute privately run military groups under the direct control and supervision of the government. This will be essentially what Bruck's Canucks has done although with government funding and regular supplies. Each unit will be responsible for the recruitment, logistics, and training of it's members. With the mentorship program I have explained earlier we will see our private military groups jumping over each other to get the newest registered citizen into their unit. New citizens will feel more welcome then ever before and who could resist the feeling of a level 18 General begging you to join his force and receive his instruction? At first commanders will be chosen for their experience in this area, their willingness to work under this system, and their enthusiasm and drive. But they need not be Field Marshals or Generals, just active and willing to build our nations armed forces. These groups will be maintained at the minimal level to build and maintain their own supplies. The effectiveness of these groups will be closely recorded and should they meet expectations an expansion of their forces will be called for.
As you can clearly see the CAP has big plans for Canada and I feel strongly that if all of these programs were implemented tomorrow eCanada would be a much greater place. If you have any questions or concerns about this platform and the Canadian Advancement Party please contact me directly or leave a comment here. If your interested in joining please do so now and send me a message, there is plenty you can do to help and I will be keeping everyone involved and active. Together we can create a strong eCanada and together we can make the changes we need to make this a game for everyone, not just those at the top. Advance Canada! Advance!

interesting...
good luck bruck
Everyone knows I don't need luck
The CAP will succeed by my sheer force of will
But a solid platform doesn't hurt either
I salute you good sir
God damnit Bruck, really another Party!
CAP?... CEP...
But last month you convinced me to join the CPF?
hey im actually going to be nice to this party. see how that works out for me 😛
.....
Exalted Druid, I take it all back. The CAP is much better
...
No hard feelings, but quite a bid sudden.
(sigh)
Bruck was never meant to be led.
He is a leader. I recognize that.
He is still an eCanadian Patriot and I want the CPF to respect who he is.
After all, it's not like certain other Party's disdainful recruitment methods.
yeah that goddamn ACC is just despicable xD
bruck that was a great read
Well i for one welcome this new addition to the Canadian political scene! I look forward to a good relationship between the CNC and the CAP!
Tyler F showing class yet again, the CAP seems interesting.
Apart from the private run army bit.
You don't think it's a good idea Tamas? It's not private really, it's government regulated but a private initiative. It's not like these guys are allowed to run off and fight for the Huns because they pay more, if anyone tried that they would see their command removed a lot quicker then they got it if I have anything to say about it. But I bet their unit would first heh
It's government regulated meets private initiative, win-win
I just don't like the idea of a bits and bobs military system with no clear thing bonding it together.
At least with the current system we have one clear chain of command and not five or six individual ones as we would have with personal 'citizen armies'.
The CAF is a citizen army, its an army that is made up of citizens.
Its following a chain of command that links direct into foreign policy via government, we get the goods when needed ands its more or less distributed evenly.
Why have x amount of 'commanders' trying to have a magnetic personality trying to attract the best people for their personal command when we have a system now that distributes the recruits and existing CAF members evenly?
All that's going to happen is that the commanders will argue over recruits, and then argue over funding because they will (and I mean *will😉 end up fighting over who has the bigger dick (By that I mean the most fire power) and who deserves the most funding.
Not the best way forward for a cohesive military unit.
Also under the current system we have a way to teach....the Platoons are mixed, just ask the leader or an experienced member, when I was in charge I fought battles with new recruits showing (teaching) them what to do.
In short the system doesn't need changing because 99% of what you claim will happen with private armies already happens in the current system, whats missing is the ego boost you get from saying "this is my army, see my private retainers, they are loyal to me".
When it really shouldn't be about that, it should be "I am part of Canada's army".
This isn't a middle ages feudal system....this is 'modern' eCanada.
The company idea sounds kinda socialist.... XD jk
Anyways, i think government run companies would be great, but it would take away citizen owned companies abilities. The government could easily give lower-level citizens high wages, making it almost impossible to hire anyone but high levels. That means you would basically have to be rich to start one, not just the 20 gold staring fee.
Otherwise, your operations seem sound to me.
Founding a party on the feudal system? How absurd!?!
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/royal-feudalist-party-736466/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/roya[..]/1/20 (aka DAL)
Hear, hear - may feudalism live strong in eCanada. Bruck, you should have joined RFP back in the heydays and we could have avoided all the trouble over the last 7 months.
You and Dominik would have made such a great pair.
An interesting development in eCan politics. Always good to see new parties come to life and move up the ranks.
ps. and I DID click on each and every CAP hyperlink just to make sure there were no surprises.
😁
You should be careful next time 😉
tamas
all these private armies popped up out of necessity, and are very creative in the way that they fund themselves and quite frankly the CAF was not an option for many loyal canadians who wanted to help canada.
So now in canada we have fighting units supplying themselves that don't cost canada anything...
CAF is still the heart of Canada military structure but there is room for improvement and putting those private armies under CAF leadership is one very good option
lol Bruck @ digging up that old RFP article. I should point out that isnt DAL it is what DAL used to be 😛
Good times lol. I agree with plugson you vs dominik was like me vs all the people i argue with x10000000
>So now in canada we have fighting units supplying themselves that don't cost canada anything...
But they do cost Canada, they get funding do they not?
>all these private armies popped up out of necessity
Yes the anti Jacobi lot needed some sort of icon to form around.
>CAF is still the heart of Canada military structure but there is room for improvement and putting those private armies under CAF leadership is one very good option.
And again I say I very much doubt the leaders of these groups would be willing to put themselves under the command of anything but themselves......as Tyler F alluded to.
And the CAF IS Canada's military structure, the rest are just little personal warbands created for god knows what reason.
...?
Like, wtf mate?
"this is my army, see my private retainers, they are loyal to me".
If we could could do that for real all eNations would feel the full force of my 9 billion supporters. Although most are just doubles of me.
Mr.Bruck goodluck.
Under the Rangers group (which Bruck's Canucks is listed as a force of) the Canucks receive 500 CAD per CAF mission. It's hardly enough for 1 Q1 gun per soldier or to cover the taxes. On special occasions the Canucks have received extra CAD, USD, or gold to buy tickets for RW's because it's impossible for a group like our to afford 4 moving tickets AND all the guns we produce.
But that's 500 CAD + extra expenses only when the government wants our help. They choose to bring us along for RW's or in reimbursing the taxes.
If you have more questions about the Canucks direct them to Addy Lawrence, he's in charge, I just bring the ego
Tamas I don't know where you are but that doesn't happen, I think you have been in the pillbox for too long.
Cool, Good luck in your future dealings.
Voted. Sounds like ignorant CAF soldiers are trying to bring back the old debates.
"Voted. Sounds like ignorant CAF soldiers are trying to bring back the old debates."
Who's let go of this members leash?
Please do not feed the Troll

LOL bruck 🙂
Interesting... I certainly approve of the mentorship program- I think it's a responsibility many eCanadian should try to take on themselves.
Well done with the troll comment Bruck, did you have a team of monkeys working on that dodge?
I see it amused the lackies anyway.
Anyway,
*How will the problem of even recruiting and distribution of new recruits be solved in the new system where each private army is responsible for its own recruitment?
*What happens when people naturally gravitate towards 'the names' leaving two or three personal warbands with 100 troops and the rest with about 10?, How do they (the small groups) make their own weapons, moving tickets, gifts and so on?
*What happens when inter-warband leader friction takes hold because of the problems I have just covered?
*What happens when one of the larger warband leader's fragile feelings are hurt and decide to take their bat and ball (or in this case troops loyal to them) home?
*How can we be sure that the government funding will be used properly and that ALL the profits from the self funding (well self and government funded) units be used for eCanada and not to fund other things, say like campaigns against a government that the leaders are not agreeable with?
After-all the majority of people who seem to be pushing this ridiculous pseudo-good for all idea around are what could be called 'the opposition'.
I still wouldn't call these questions or any of the points I made trolling, but then again I am not the one who has to answer them.
-the privatly run groups would be run to government established standards, each would be 40-50 members. 10 produce Iron, 10 produce guns(this number may double as the production of Iron can support two Q1 companies), 10 produce oil and 10 produce tickets. The tickets are stockpiled and sold for extra CAD and the guns all go to the unit. No unit shall exceed 50 and so once the unit is full any new applicants will have to join another. It will be the duty of each unit to maintain activity and fill any gaps as they come along.
-If there is any inter group friction it will be a friendly rivalry. These leaders will be held to the same standards as the CAF Officers and that wouldn't be allowed in the CAF either.
-They will be replaced obviously. These leaders aren't all like you Tamas.
-Again...these groups will be held to the same standards as the CAF, all it's members will have to abide by the CAF CoC because they will be members of the CAF...the government and CAF High Command will watch these units closely. Contrary to popular belief, not all people are corrupt.
If you are making valid points it's not trolling, it's just the manner in which you make them.
Wow...reading the article from Dominik...Politics were more....funnier back in the days.
I may not agree with Much of your platform but it sounds interesting. Enforcing tax statements would be a very interesting task for a poor minister to do.
Good luck anyway!
Says the person named Tity
"-They will be replaced obviously. These leaders aren't all like you Tamas."
ooooh, good one Bruck 😃, although you leave out I was right on the issue you allude to. 😉
I still think it wouldn't work and would lead to loyalty to the person in charge rather than the state, and considering the partisan position of some of the probable leaders this can not be a good thing.
Maybe it would be wise to make the leaders of such groups unable to run for congress, PM or hold any form of government position having led such a unit.
I feel that would be a prudent and fair precaution and would probably make the entire private army idea more palatable for others.
And maybe some sort of precaution to avoid lackeys being put in charge as proxy leaders.
Two Great Canadians indeed!
"Maybe it would be wise to make the leaders of such groups unable to run for congress, PM or hold any form of government position having led such a unit."
Agreed, actually thank you for the suggestion. See you can be reasonable 😛
I don't want people with political motivation to be anywhere near leadership of these groups. Just like the CAF is, that is the model for discipline standards. There is no reason a group like this should be any different.
The CAP looks slightly more attractive now.
