Canada Region Swap Proposal

As Poland marches closer to southern France, and a possible end to the Asturias Accord(s) is beginning to seem more likely, we may need to consider finding resources elsewhere to help guard against any sort of economic backlash.
One possibility is a region swap with the Canadians:
(this is just one possibility, there are several combinations that could work)

Canada- Fish and Deer
USA- Fruit and Grain
I don't know the entire history of the eUSA, and whether this has been done before or not. However, I do think that awareness for this particular possibility should be raised, and that it's a very viable option if necessary.

Yeah... but... Canada would need to go to war with us, which wouldn't help at all during an invasion.
we've had this before, and really it only serves as a drain, and in my opinion shouldn't be used. yes, it will be the same amount of drain as say occupying spain, but losing the rw would not be an option, because then we would have to break our mpp with them before we could take it back, whereas if we just occupy an enemy nation, we could easily afford to lose and re-attack the region.
dbsndust- fair point, I forget to mention when I thought it could be implemented. We don't know what the map will look like when the dust settles, and it could be done after an invasion as much as during one. I would think that ONE would have to spread themselves too thin to use Canada, and have a multitude of borders already anyway. You're right though, it is a factor.

Those territories in France were not held by France when the eUS obtained them. If you don't see the significance in that...
Not in the context, no. In both cases they're regions that can have a successful RW, and require breaking MPPs. What you're implying seems to be more in line with what Dbsndust was saying than anything. Feel free to explain.

I actually did want you to explain what you were trying to say; I don't know if you thought I was being sarcastic or something.
I'm forced to guess what I think you were trying to say, which was something about declaring war, right? I still don't see how that's relevant to the point in question. Twisted said that we shouldn't occupy allied nations, in case the RW is successful, and we have to break the pact with them. I then asked how that was different from France.
and assuming my guess is right, wasn't it the Canadian leadership that recently didn't understand the basic mechanics for declaring war?
I've tried to learn what I can in the time I've been here, and will be gladly proven wrong if possible. However, being vague and condescending is nothing but an attempt to boost your own ego.
Cromstar has informed me in IRC the main flaw with this idea, which is that all shared MPPs would go away, which is something that I wasn't aware of(and is more related to dbsndust's point like I said). This idea could still be implemented, but under rarer circumstances.
Anyway, I'll not delete anything and let this all stand at the moment.
