CAF Industries Theft

This is just a short message to address a larger problem, I will update everyone later with more information.
Yesterday, May 23rd the CAF Industries, the companies used by the Canadian Armed Forces to supplement supply and save on costs, had it’s password changed and money removed. Whomever was responsible contacted wealthy private citizens as well as other government organizations requesting more CAD be placed in the CAF Industries for budgetary reasons and donations. Though the total funds in the CAF Industries were not large it is regrettable that this money was taken and currently the three companies located within this org are disputed. The companies and CAD combined equal approximately 90 gold although this may not all be lost, as I said before more details will follow.
Access to this Org was extremely restricted, I myself did not have the password but that is because I did not interfere with CAF supplying in the past. I will not release the names of those with access at this time so as to avoid the attacks that may ensue, to those not involved. This theft is being investigated by CSIS, my office and CAF Command. At this time I cannot say anymore as this is an ongoing investigation. I can say that steps will be taken in Congress by myself and others in my name to prevent thefts such as these in the future.

The Government has significantly reformed its policies in many cases, note that this theft is much less then the previous one. I would also like to say that this administration has been in longer then many others and so of course there will be a greater number of scandals.

perhaps it is time to get rid of government organizations and instead invest in individual companies (via government loans) so that the risk of a large theft is lowered
government programs seem to attract thieves from abroad and at home....let's invest in local companies and stop creating government organizations that have a huge sign on them asking "PLEASE STEAL FROM ME"

I've always been in favour of axing crown corps anyway. Give that business to the people I say.
How can this happen? these theft are definetly hampering the whole CAF and we can't get supply right now. It might not be entirely this administration fault, but they are responsible for every penny that they are given by the citizens. Their responsibility is to make sure every single taxmoney is used to better serves the canadians, wich hasn't been the case lately.

There have nothing to do with Crown corporations that is under the MoF and MoI- So please do not try jumping on that silly bandwagon. Half the problem of Canada is the fact too many people are so damn greedy everyone wants to make a cut or profit.
The money is CAF money as usual in the CND/Caf Industries accounts. In the end someone in high command has been dishonest and hopefully we find the traitor this time around.
And to those that feel the need to cheat and steal - Thank you for killing the game for the rest of us, course not that you really care.
even if it isnt the bruck administrations fault they should be held responsible for letting this happen a 2nd time. obviously they are doing something wrong as this hasnt happened under anyone else

Ridiculous absolutely. Would impeachment help the situation? Maybe. People want to blame. It's easier to point to one guy and say it's your fault. You're to blame. The real issue is with the system. Security obviously sucks. You would have thought after the last theft that a major overhaul would have taken place. I heard of an investigation but no calls for overhaul in procedures.Maybe there was but to my thinking that should have taken precedence. Plug the gaps as it were. email address password retrieval changed frequently and passwords changed even more so. eUK had their entire budget held hostage and were forced to comply with blackmail just to function. Is that what has to happen here before the system is changed to protect what all eCanada has built?
What Dade suggests will help diversify eCanada's money and help indstry but won't fix the issue. Change the security system NOW.
Corruption will always be there in government to some degree. But there has to be someway to combat against these type of thefts. Is there any disciplinary tactics that can be utilized in the eworld?
Something needs to be done. IF there truely was only 3 people who had access to the password, then for the greater good of Canada, get rid of all three.

I have at the very least started a topic in Congress. I am trying my best to get a congressional investigation started on this matter, or at least some legislation to prevent these scandals from happening.

JT is right, the MoF/MoI assets haven't had any problems. The majority of government held Canadian funds is safe. Only CAF Industries which is in no way related to what Kelly(MoI), Armour(Shinra) or I(MoI, Shinra, MoF) operate.
So the system as you say isn't flawed, every dime that arrives in the MoF coffers is used in the service of Canada providing jobs, developing Doomsday stockpiles and building hospitals and defense systems.

The CAF Industries org is barely considered a government org, it is a CAF org, the security of which is primarily the responsibility of the CAF.

Jessus. The password for the state orgs stay at 2 maximum 3 people. The president, the guy directly responsible for them and someone he appoints directly. Every month all the passwords are changed.
Deal harshly with the folks involved. AFAIK they are undermining my security in my own country.

it means that you will have to pay for the weapons yourselves rather then get them supplied by the CAF

Sad to here that we lost the account, but as Dade said leave business to the people, not that government you do enough in taking our money anyway. Again although attacks can be stopped now once the public finds out who had access the attacks will start, now since the same account that held the money that was stolen at first has been stolen its logical that its the administrations fault so I think it also logical that the investigation be carried on by a group who is not part of the current administration or legislation.
People stop jumping to conclusions, the money that was lost will not effect supplies, the supplies will still be bought from the government CAF funds, these were not taken. What was taken was some funds for maintaining the companies and the companies.
Tantis, learn the facts before you speak. This is a separate org then the first time with different people having access. Not one person from the first theft had access to this org (including myself).

Do you sign contracts when receiving passwords? If not...
another theft of Canadian funds....a little disappointing....where did it go this time....time to fire some people...or at least get them to step down.
