Cabinet Weekly Update - July 17

Day 604, 19:22 Published in Australia Australia by Aaron Camm

Welcome to this weeks update from our cabinet. The pm's cabinet has been hard at work since Aussie Vegeta has been elected getting programs and policies in place to help better eAustralia. the main focuses for this week was the budget that has been tabled in the senate and also finding a new replacement for the war games that have just ended.

Minister for Cultural Services

New citizens & citizen support:
*After a slight drop in numbers we're heading back up again
*There has been a continual increase of new citizens joining our irc channel -and returning. -most with very positive things to say about how friendly and supportive our community is.
*The lack of war games means a lot of eAussies will need to be moved o/s and back to use hospitals or gifed a greater ammount (cost increase - this should still be within budget)

Department Staff:
I would like to extend a warm welcome to Ronnyjnrjnr and Xavier_Darkmyre, both have been through the new citizen support program and have joined us to help others.

Wiki:
The wiki is always in need of maintanance, both Mouj and Cerridwen Voeland are regularly checking over this. Sir_C0nstant is also now assisting in this area. Sentate history appears to be the only area now out of date

Competitions:
The next one is due to commence on Friday

Budget:
The MoCS have asked for 2k like last term. we came in under last term for a number of reasons - some citizens had provided me with incredibly cheap products and the constant war games both meant a reduced demand on $. This can not be relied upon.

Minister for Defence

Apart from the usual Defence activities (Squad Elections for ACUK, DBs, uniforms etc) it has been a challenging beginning for the DoD portfolio and Scotywest (Stewtoysc) and I this month.

The most notable effect for our Citizens has been the completion of the War Games. Unfortunately, it appears there may be some time before a new set of PEACE War Games are negotiated - obviously world events with the current coordinated attack on US/Canada takes some precedence in their minds! Although, in conjunction with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, we are currently working on other options, that hopefully we can accounce soon.

While we are talking about the global war - eAustralia presently remains neutral, in line with the current region return Agreement with Indonesia. Those Australians who either are planning or have moved to fight for any side are doing this as individuals, and we wish you a speedy return to our fine shores soon.

Of course, plans are well underway also for the coming Resistance War for South Australia - I believe we are currently finalising a date and time, and our forces stand at the ready for this to occur sometime in the next week. Stay tuned.

Finally, BUDGET. Defence delivered on it's major budget committments last term, including the success of first round Training (Boot) Camp for new players, weapons stockpiling for defensive pruposes and management of our two companies. We have sought a similar level of funding for this month, as well as initiatives designed to continue supporting stockpiling of weapons and being prepared to arm our soldiers, and indeed public, as the situation demands.

Minister for Industry

We are currently putting forward a proposal to set up overseas raw materials comapanies (oil, iron, wood) to help the eAustralian economy. The aim is to create a more efficient RM market, especially for the iron and wood market. It is currently up for debate in the Senate.

The influx of new citizens has also led to fewer skill 0 jobs openings in the eAustralian workplace. The MoI has put up skill 0 jobs to help address this.

If you are looking for a 0 skill job please have a look here. http://www.erepublik.com/en/human-resources/country-50-domain-all-skill-1

If you are still having trouble get in touch with son of rambo or santic and they will assist you.

Treasurer

The budget is currently having a rough time in Senate, with Senators disagreeing on a few projects and it is likely they will be cut out.

Next week the Treasury are organising the gold for the South Australia which will buy-back our companies which arent bought by eAustralian citizens.

Our tax collection over the last week and a half have been 11847.89AUD with 10,000AUD withdrawn from the treasury for the government's use. $5078.83AUD have been traded for 126Goldd on the Monetary Market, with our dollar inflating over the last few days.

The Treasury will provide the Budget details in the NBA's newspaper after it is passed by Senate. Any further questions about eAustralia's finance contact me, Dark Vorodor or the NBA.

Minister for Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Foreign Affairs currently has a proposal going through the senate. More details will be released once it has been passed.
