Cabinet: A Work in Progress

Day 1,508, 11:36 Published in Japan Japan by Sophia Forrester

A new dawn for our government isn't something I can create alone. Thankfully, there are many well regarded citizens who have offered to join my government. I have a relatively short list now, and will be adding more names later as I hear from more people. Thanks to everyone for their support and hard work.

Minister of Foreign Affairs: GLaDOS

GlaDOS is a veteran diplomat who has worked with countries across the globe. He will be working in the next few days to kickstart our stalled Ambassador program, and start active diplomacy with other nations. Anyone interested in serving as an Ambassador or otherwise helping the Foreign Ministry, please let me or GLaDOS know.

Representative to Terra: Squibeel

Squibeel will be working on a priority of my administration, to improve our connection with the Terra alliance. He is a respected player with a good relationship to Terra's leaders.

Minister of Defense: KuroiReaper

If the last few weeks, KuroiReaper has led the Shinsengumi to a consistent second place in our militia rankings, just behind the official Self-Defense Force. He plans to improve coordination between our various Military Units, to make sure that we will be able to fight as one if eJapan is ever threatened.

Minister of Immigration: Akki

Akki is an experienced citizen who has served as both President and Minister in the past. He drafted the current immigration procedures, where Congress Members take responsibility for the citizens they approve. Now, he will work in the Cabinet to refine and implement those procedures.

Minister of Culture: Nozomi

This month, the Ministry of Culture will be responsible for reviving the Empress Day position as well as new anime-themed events. I am thankful to Nozomi for her enthusiasm in reviving this new Ministry.
Although the original plan had been to have a Minister of Culture to do Japanese cultural events, and a ministry of Anime to do anime-themed events, this turned out not to be practical. Therefore the Ministry of Culture will handle both kinds of events. Anyone who is interested in helping with this ministry, please contact Nozomi or Sophia Forrester.

I'd like to thank everyone for their help and support as we get this new government up and running. It's still a short list, but will expand as I hear back from more of our citizens. This is only the first step toward our new future.
