Running with the UIP, I hope to be the next Junior Senator from the great State of Qinghai. On Day 1009, you know where I want your vote and I’m prepared to tell you why it should be there. Here are my opinions:



Taxes:
Right now, our tax system isn’t looking too shabby. I like income taxes, but I dislike import taxes. At 2😇9 on Day 1000 (Woot!), there were 10 companies selling food that gave citizens 10 wellness and 5 happiness points. Of those selling in the US, six were foreign. One very foreign – Germany – a nation that we fought with Spoland quite a few months back. This is a problem. We need to favor our companies. Look at our Spanish allies – their import taxes are at 10% for food and moving tickets, 1% for oil, titanium, hospitals, defense systems and stone, 99% for iron, and 5% for everything else. What does this accomplish?
- They are majorly keeping out foreign competition for food and moving tickets to protect the industries.
- They are allowing the raw materials that they don’t have and hospitals and defense systems (which would be donated to them) come into their country for (essentially) no tax.
- Since Asturias is the most iron productive region in the eWorld, Spain is keeping out all foreign competition in that field.
- Grain, which Spain produces but not a lot of, and all kinds of weapons have import taxes at 5%. This protects their companies, but gives other companies that have great prices a chance.

If elected the Congress, I will push to raise import taxes for all good up to 5%. This gives our companies the competitive edge, but gives foreign companies a chance. Understand this nation, this is my main reason to get into congress. I know firsthand how foreign companies do it. I used to own a gift (yeah, back in v1) company in Poland. It made a great profit until the French retook Paris (where the company I bought was located) and I could no longer export to the states. It made such a good profit because I sold gifts to the US for cheaper than US companies could. This needs to be changed.



The Military Module

Obviously, war is the machine that drives this game. I don’t play this game to work and buy food, I play it to kill some Servians.

I want two basic things. One: I always want to have a battle open for our citizens, preferably one that they can take part in while staying in the US.

As a military man (in this game atleast), I know the importance of us. Our military sweeps battlefields and when faced with an entire board that has been captured by the enemy, we take it all, the capital, and win. Look at Dublin, Vestlandet, East Western Alaska, Central Alaska, and West Alaska – we owned some Brits with their 8 MPPs and the Russians with all of Phoenix on their side. Quite simply, we have the best military in the eWorld. End of story. Let’s keep funding it well.



The Economy

Right now, the economy is in a slump because of admin’s gold-sucking traps. We can only hope that with some of the changes that admin is making to Rising, it’ll help stir up the economy. The only other help we have is changing taxes (which I addressed above)

Recruitment and Retainment

How do I put this… our current population stats suck. And with our current system, we’re losing people every day. I will support programs that will message new citizens to help keep them active and in fact, I am restarting the Community Development Program to do just this.
