The Bristol local elections will be of interest to many people and This is due to the rather heated discussions between two of its main candidates (Twat-ers and Chrisclamp).
With more articles about Bristol then any other region we have to ask ourselves what has warranted such uproar. The honest answer is both of the candidates in question have a following that is unwilling to back down.
With personal attacks on an rise and Spam levels increasing I ask you what the facts are in this battle of the titans.
I am of course bias in this election but I would like to try to set the record straight. Twat-ers is the current mayor of Bristol and imo has done nothing wrong as mayor. He has proposed several schemes to improve Bristol as a whole but the problems arise because Twat-ers himself is very unpublicised. His polices can be misinterpreted and this has given him a bad image to the few that have not heard the true story.
Chrisclamp however is the complete opposite. As the Mayor of Bristol before Twat-ers his campaign was littered with articles showing what he was doing (whether it be good or bad) And this plus his devout followers have given him mixed reviews with the people of Bristol and again it is usually those who do not hear the true story who are quick to judge.
And this is where the article becomes propaganda. Both candidates have had experience in running Bristol but I would like to challenge both sides to come up with one reason why the other should not be the mayor.
I ask that they state the negative as both sides are friends with there candidate and so asking for a positive reason for the candidate would be the obvious “because I know him and he rules”.

I wish there wasn’t such a rivalry in Bristol. Competition is good but its best if both candidates could be accepted and the vote is more down to who the public think has the edge.

You both have listed the reasons why you would be good mayors and tbh there both the same so I ask you to find you opponents weakness and to show yours is the lesser for this is the only way I see of deciding who would do a better job.

Then why do you feel it necessary to ask the candidates to say what\'s wrong with the other? Doesn\'t seem as if you want it to be down to who the e-public think has the edge, it\'s who can answer your pointless question, that will only cause more arguments.

because in Bristol both sides have devout followers. Neither will be happy with the other winning. In other regions all the candidates are accepted but the vote is merely who they would prefer.
This will be a close election and if one side is to be unhappy with the decision then why not lower there pain and chose the candidate with the least problems. If you are unable to find a problem with Twat-ers term as mayor and he where to find a problem with yours then it shows that voting for twat-ers would annoy less people.

This is could well be why I have less support from people I don\'t know well. I\'m the most sarcastically arrogant person you\'ll ever talk to.
im sure we could get along its just the fact you are trying to win something i think there is a better candidate for. Like others have said i have nothing against you as a person. Its just i object to you being my mayor.

Just in case anyone who isn\'t actually a RL friend of Clamp is reading this I think Twat-ers is by far the better candidate.
Sure a vote Chris would be good if you were one of his group (are you guys in a school together or what?) but if you\'re not then voting for him would be a bad idea
