Breakdown of PTO Votes
Jack Lantos
Political Take Over (PTO) in this game (or at least in this article) usually refers to the absurd possibility to abuse the game mechanics to such an extent that control of a country's in-game administration section can be given to an entirely separate nation. This is entirely different from legitimate immigrant parties with plans to integrate and benefit the nation - ideally the votes would not include multi accounts, and unauthorised CS distribution, and the goals would not include stealing all the tax income.
Admins failed to fix this for years already, however, PTO is still generally considered dishonourable and disrespectful. Unscrupulous players will still delude themselves that PTO is an achievement and a valid part of the game, and without being able to expect admins to do something competently and fix the problem, it is important to at least objectively disclose who is actively attempting PTO at the moment.
This is particularly relevant at a pivotal time when eUSA is a trial member of CoT, and may eventually conduct a public referendum as whether to progress along that path.
Note that the TWO alliance is represented entirely by Serbia in this situation - other TWO countries are NOT actively participating in this activity. A breakdown of voters by individual countries confirms this:
Voter origin is clearly identifiable by TP damage, MU, articles, etc. Low activity eUSA accounts were a minor portion of votes, not included for clarity.
Eg.
(Other examples: GR, BG, MX, PT)
Serbia clearly tried the hardest and the longest, as we already knew. What may be more surprising is the significant presence of both EDEN and CoT countries.
There have been signs that Romanians have been moving to the Vox Populi party which is well appreciated (see article by addarian) (edit: and also FsH, thanks costin1989). Having said that there are still remnants.
In summary:
* As expected, Serbia still commits the most PTO voters.
* EDEN still commits PTO voters.
* eUSA became a trial member of CoT, despite the MPP alignment of Serbia with CoT countries.
* CoT commits PTO voters despite eUSA being a trial member of CoT
Additional:
1. There are no other articles I have found examining where PTO votes come from. When anonymity is removed it may discourage further activity.
2. Individual citizen accounts each represent a particular alliance, regardless of whether the alliance leadership had anything to do with it or not.
3. If there is a lack of awareness among particular groups identified here, then that is an opportunity to remove a lot of votes from the PTO movement.

I kinda didn't understand this article. Maybe I'm still too young in the game.
I dont think your definition of PTO is right, I know many eSK players who got CS after their country is wiped and occupied by eRoC for many months, many of those players has left, or inactive. That doesnt make them PTOers since they never actually play any role in your political progress.
I cant say the same for other countries, because I really dont know, but in this case, you are wrong.
Well done. Thanks for breaking down the votes.
I like eSK, and being in the same alliance should improve relations, but maybe some players did not know that joining the AFA party and voting for that party is viewed as a hostile act?

This means eUSA is already screwed?
^ actually eUSA was big enough to protect itself for a long time already using primaries, but I think we deserve some answers from CoT

I think many of them wouldnt know about your parties since they dont pay attention to your political system much, and in addition, how do you know if they have voted or not? Being in their parties doesnt mean they voted at all let alone know who they voted for.
Would be like to share your raw data for review?
VoxPopuli is not the only romanians party. FsH is another one.
ima Srbija ima vote !
danas Tirana gori !!!!
I wish we had voters from all these alliances and governments.
We don't operate that way...
Interesting, but sort of sad that you spent hours researching this...
Nice breakdown. Would be interested to know how you actually did it (technically).
Good article, facts in plain visible graphs.
What about American voters, in which group are they?
dude... voted and subbed.. but..
if you're not on Staff at the White House Press Room, you should be.

Awesome article. If you are willing to share your data and collection method, please PM me.
Unsubbed.
I liked your newspaper and the objective and relevant analysis you did, however I can not help but feel myself offended with this article.
I came to the US in order to have bigger bonuses in my raw production companies since my country was wiped and for that I am called a PTOer.
I am not taking over your country in any way, I am however voting for the people who welcomed me in as an act of gratitude. Which happens to be the biggest party in America.
How is that a PTO?
I want to highlight again that never was I told to do so, I do it because I feel like I should.
You should also accept it that, since I have american citizenship, I am as much an eAmerican citizen as you are and I have the right to vote for whoever I want to just like you do.
You had an awesome newspaper until you decided to put your political agenda in it for them.
And even tough I am not taking action in one, I for one, defend PTOing.
It's a perfectly valid move.
If someone obtains citizenship it's in his right to vote in whatever it is that he finds it to be the best destiny for the country he now belongs to.
If you disagree with that, I am afraid that I will have to alert you that you against freedom and democracy and you should go read some philosophy books to straighten your ideas out.
I can't help but feel I have become a victim of in-game xenophobism due to this article, and I really hope you apologise for this brutal offense.
>2. Individual citizen accounts each represent a particular alliance, regardless of whether the alliance leadership had anything to do with it or not.
Now that's just you etiher being unable to think coherently using something known as logic or trying to rustle some jimmies.
