Brazil: The Monster That Must Be Dealt With

Day 757, 21:13 Published in Chile Chile by Adam Griffin

First of all, as a member of the Chilean Congress I feel as if I should say that this article is only the opinions of an individual and that this is not an attempt to seek a resolution on the issue via the Chilean Government. Rather, I feel it is important to discuss the matter and I hope that perhaps at least one of the major warhorses in the eWorld will see this and give the issue consideration.

Gobble, gobble, gobble

Brazil's natural borders consist of six regions. The number of Brazil's longtime holdings in South Africa has varied over time, but it currently controls four regions. Over the past month, Brazil has acquired 10 regions in South America (not including the Venezuelan region of Guayana that Spain recently liberated), three in Peru and one in Australia, swelling its current number of territorial holdings to 20.

Future plans for expansion?

We can obviously see that Brazil is not planning on just taking one Australian territory. If Brazil is left unchecked, it will seek to annex the entirety of Australia at the very least, giving Brazil by current numbers a total of 26 regions. Another danger that looms is Brazil's plans for its own continent. We have seen the ambition in its eyes when it comes to the annexation of Peru & Venezuela (regardless of the justification) and it's very well possible that other smaller countries in South America (i.e.: every country except Argentina) is eligible for "border alteration".

Southern Hemisphere under one flag

While there is no strategic value to the concept of hemisphere in eR, there's nothing great about opening up the world map and seeing half of the world under one greedy powerhouse. Currently there are 12 countries that can be considered in the eSouthern Hemisphere. Brazil as of now has holdings in 5 of these countries (including itself). Any further expansion should be considered gross, ostentatious and unacceptable.

Will Brazil be the next country to inherit the crown of tyranny and place itself as an eSuperpower? I think so, if nothing is done to stop it. Perhaps all of the current countries that are fighting each other should take a look at Brazil; it's quietly positioning itself to become a Hungary-like superpower, and I don't think many of the smaller and neutral countries, along with the EDEN bloc, are paying much attention to it.
