Bored Of eRepublik? Wishing There Was More To Do? *Part 1*

There Is!

Many new users get bored of the game after a month of playing as they think that it involves working, training, running for political office and browsing the forums. Well, in part, that is absolutely right, but what makes the game is not the limited game engines but the possibilities outside of the game mechanics and its community!

If you are at a point where you want to be more than just your average eRepublikan, you can choose to do the following things which are mostly based off my experience in this game. For others who think they do other interesting things, please add!

Disclaimer: This article will have blatant self-promotion in it and will be biased. I apologize if that provides a detrimental learning experience to readers.

Politics Doesn't Have To Be Bland

Many do not realize how fun politics can be. For many, it is as far as bring labeled Party President, Presidential Candidate or Congressperson.

Thing is, no matter what position you are in a party within the political spectrum, there is always room for some role-play and innovation.

One of the ways you can get involved within a party without being in leadership is working on a platform!

Platforms tell the public what your party stands for and what it hopes to do when in power.

Leadership of a party in itself can involve some imaginative thinking. The game limits somewhat the freedom of politics, but as seen in my OG Literary Award Contests it can be manageable to create parties that are communist, feudalist or military-totalitarian. All it takes is imagination, a will to pursue a certain field of view and imagination. Party leadership can be different for each party. Some people will have Kings, Princes, etc. Others will have secretaries and commissars and others may have fancier names that revolve around their political view. Have fun with it!

Countries can also change their Head of State titles. Not in-game but on paper. Canada, with Banach in power, changed from President to Prime Minister. That was preceded and followed by various title changes, the most famous being God-King Dio of Pakistan.

Remember to party's forums also.

Education? The Next Level!

Canada is one of the first countries in eRepublik to have created a university. This is an advanced, forum-based tool that allows veteran citizens to help out the younger, less experienced Canadians and foreign travelers alike. What a university does is create a new area on the platform; education, provides pay to intelligent, hard-working individuals and is an excellent learning source.

Everyone knows that education is one of the most important things to for a successful future populace. Education eliminates ignorance and provides Canada with the intelligent citizens it needs.

If you want to be a professor or a student, just contact John Wilkmot or look out for articles announcing new courses or teaching opportunities.

For an example outline of courses look at

at this article

or check out the

official eCanadian forums

Host Contests!

Hosting contests is a great way to go out of the game's limitations. Contests could include literary competitions like the OG Literary Award of Plugson's Shameless Plug weekly awards. Contests can often also include lotteries, raffles and draws that profit you while getting others involved in winning fun little (or big) prizes!

So if you are bored but are creative and are good at landing sponsors then try something like this

Remember to keep it original, have good prizes and publicize it. Even bland lotteries can be fun if you add a twist to it.

More To Come
This is all for today, look out for some other cool suggestions for new players in recent days.

Banach
