Blarney and whatnot

Day 846, 19:38 Published in Ireland Canada by Hamiltenor

I do regret leaving Ireland somewhat, but traveling as I did opened my eyes to many things and was valuable toward my (limited) view of economies. My original plan was to spend a week in every English speaking country then move on to another and eventually wind up back here in Ireland. That didn't go very well because I got bored of not being part of the political scene, and finding a new job every week.

Moving to Australia showed me that fighting down to a low wellness level and expecting there to be a fight the next day usually led to disaster. Now, this strategy usually works well in a war-mongering nation like eUSA, but Australia is so far removed that little happens there. Sure there is some political activity, but not enough to be exciting. My employer over there was the best and most involved I've yet had. He offered incentives for attaining a certain amount of productivity in a week, and was johnny on the spot with raises when I reached a new skill level.

I spent a while over in eUK and once the USA had taken over all but London, I decided it was time to get the heck out of there. Instead of moving back to the US or Ireland, I headed over to Canada.

Canada was pretty interesting. The economy was in a big slump after the war against the UK and subsequently, my pay dropped a considerable amount because I've been in manufacturing since I began working as a little level 1 citizen. With the economy in a slump and nothing big happening I came back here, Ireland!, where two friends live and are involved at their own levels. My employer here was terrific and I couldn't hep but understand when he lowered my salary in the slump. I was gracious about it because what I'm really working towards is a higher level and the five gold a hard worker medal provides.

In all that time, I contemplated making a company somewhere in the USA, because my organization is based there (hamilten0R, that's a zero..) but there are so many companies in the US as well as new citizens doing nothing with their accounts. The capital required to start a company is considerable as well, and I decided against making a company for the time being. With the prospect of new economic modules and roll-outs of updates across the site, I will hold on to what money I have.

Where will I go from here?

I know I'm a center-left Libertarian, and after receiving my citizenship, joined a party in line with my political opinions. I'm not sure whether or not this will serve me well, but I'm free to choose a party aren't I?

I'm not going to continue moving around, that's for sure, the wellness hit and opportunity cost of lost raises isn't worth it. I plan on keeping my job, unless another better one comes up.

Eventually it'd be nice to make my way into congress or another political position pending Gambit60133's amount of success with aspiring to be president. For now I have my job, my party, and this newspaper to keep me busy.

Discontent with the current president.

What kind of a person becomes president without earning a single hard worker medal? I don't know if it's just me, but there's no way I would have voted for him, had I been a citizen before the election. I saw the impeachment vote failed, because it has to pass with a considerable majority. Why would anyone vote for him? Did he promise candy and free rides in his van to all the little kiddies who don't know any better?

Who am I exactly?

Just a guy with an opinion and far too good writing skills for an undergraduate computer science major.
