Join the new world

The introduction of bombs and rockets into eRepublik for a short period of time has affected many battles in the eWorld, especially in Western Europe, where many countries are now fighting to either help France recover from attacks, or to participate in these attacks. Before the introduction of bombs and rockets, France was dealing with Hungary's attacks with USA aiding France. But since the bombs were brought in, Poland and Germany are fighting in France too. Spain and much of central Europe has also seen change into their owned regions too!

Region Movement - France
Currently, the main area which people seem to be looking at is France. This country which once spent 4 months in the eUK without moving began to fall to Hungary. The USA, who did previously attack Spain, had regions in France as well, so chose to help France take back some regions. But the introduction of bombs messed things up.

Above is France one day before bombs were added to the game. Hungary was in possession of most of northern France, while the USA had pushed through France to meet Hungary's regions, creating a big fight. However, when the bombs were added, it took only 2 days before the USA and France managed to split up Hungary's regions and weaken the country's hold over France.

Above is the image of France now, where Hungary is not to be seen. It could possibly be because of the bombs that Hungary was wiped out of France. Many claim that it was likely that Hungary would have been kicked out by USA anyway, but the bombs and rockets may have speeded up the process. Poland do appear to be breaking into France, but to possibility of Poland conquering the whole of France whilst having to kick both USA and Germany out as well is not very good.
We may see Hungary eventually try to return to France however, it does not look likely until all bombs are used up and the USA have returned most regions back to France.
Poland may try to break into France but with 3 countries to fight in there, they might need help from neighbouring countries, possibly the United Kingdom.

Battle Changes - France

Prior to the introduction of bombs, France had lost their last 10 campaigns against Hungary, showing that Hungary had great power over France. This is why USA would have to had intervened, or else it would have been likely that France could have been wiped.
Since the introduction of bombs and rockets, Hungary has only managed to win 2 campaigns against France in almost 1 week. This shows to change in damage by the two sides because of the addition of these bombs.
The most recent of the campaigns between France and Hungary saw the CH medal go for an amazing 8,969,800 damage. Two of the BH medals in this campaign went for more then 4,000,000. One of these BH medals went for over 5,000,000!

Two campaigns have occurred between USA, who are helping France, and Hungary since the introduction of bombs and rockets. In one of these campaigns, the CH medal on both sides went for more then 10,000,000 damage. Hungary's CH got the first 3 BH medals, dealing 13,230,234 damage!

Germany were also helping out France, by attacking Hungary. In one of there campaigns, the top three campaign damage dealers did over 30,000,000 damage between them. Two of these citizens dealt over 10,000,000 damage while the third was less then 300,000 off the 10,000,000 mark.
You may hear people saying that Hungary lost in France because of the introduction of bombs and rockets. This is very likely as the amount of damage you need to do to get a BH in these battles with Hungary tripled in most cases. The bombs changed the war.

Conclusion - France
France will now regain most regions within the next few days, while it will be likely that USA block Poland’s route to France, leaving a massive war there. Germany will return the region they own to France.
However to does look as if Hungary are back in their own territory, with Romania returning the regions to Hungary. With the damage some players had stocked up, the war could have lasted another month with Hungary hanging in until Poland arrived to fight off USA. But people’s greed for bombs and rockets, as well as many being used by the two sides, saw a swifter end to this bloody conflict.
Hungary may return to France when these bombs and rockets are all used up, but it will look unlikely as there are on borders between to two nations at the moment.

The next issue will look at the changes in Central and Eastern Europe since the introduction of bombs.
