Beware the Ides of March

Day 1,576, 12:10 Published in USA Canada by Rigour6

A note to our readers, both new and old, from your editor.

When I left eCanada it was my intention to pursue a quiet but productive life in my new home in Maine.
I did not realize or expect that so many others, who shared my disgust with the condonation of massive theft and domestic blackmail, would also leave the the nation or organize to protest against the fall from grace of the nation they (as I) long called home.

I had no intention that my leaving would prompt others to do the same or form part of anything larger.
This is among the reasons for my post of yesterday. I was simply a lone man following his conscience.
In short, I did not leave in an attempt to change Rolo - I know he cannot be changed, at least not by me.
I left to ensure that Rolo not change me.

In the days since then, many very powerful and respected members and former members of the eCanadian community have been hard at work and they have permitted me to sit in on their councils.
Despite my rather minor status as a player, I have also been honoured by the trust shown in me by the present CP Acacia Mason, in making me part of discussions he has held with some of those players.

Based on that participation, I believe that both eCanada and its allies can expect developments in the near future. For my part, I will be pursuing embedded journalist status and continuing to follow this story closely, both because I believe it is a very important one, and I believe based on my observation that the story of the exiles deserves to be told fairly and free from the sort of rampant propaganda distortions I have observed.

I know many eCanadians and their allies are confused about what is going on.
My hope is to give the facts and let you, the reader, judge for yourself.
I expect this is going to be tricky, because I want to be fair to that group but I also have my own editorial stance and it will natural for the two to become confused if I don't do my job well. To cite just one example: I have said I don't favour actually fighting against eCanada in battle. But that is easy for me to say, since even if I did, I am not a strong enough or rich enough fighter to wield much influence anyway. My tools are words. But to be fair to those who might choose to fight, I can say this, that I can certainly see and understand the logic in that - particularly given the response of eCanada's present CP. If anything, my greatest criticism of my good friend Acacia Mason is that his responses are actually making the case of those who wish to fight for them.

In any event, I am told and do verily believe that there will be an announcement of developments on this file in the near future, and I am working hard on behalf of my readership to get the full details here.

For now, I note that the Ides of March will soon be upon us, and I am told that date may not pass unmarked.

In your service,

R6
