Welcome to another installment of the of the "Better Know A" series. Today, I interviewed our beloved Coolissport. He is one of our most playful members of our community. From sharing with his real life to baking some of his famous eNomnomnomcookies etc, he brings energy and fun to the IRC and the forums. He is a rather new player but accomplished a lot already. He was our congressman and he is our vice Minister of Recruitment and Coaching. He also a team member of the UNL Awards Team. Coolissport is indeed a valued member of the UNL community and the purpose of this interview is for the UNL community to "Better Know" Coolissport.

All "BKA" are done on the IRC. I wrote a few framed and standard questions ahead of time for the foundation of the interview. I do this for some basic structure and logical progression of the discourse. I chose to do it on the IRC and not via PM etc, so I can get the raw answer/ reply from the interviewee. There are no s in any "BKA" articles. This also give me the chance to add follow up questions/ or comments which I feel interesting or important to address in response to the reply that the interviewee gave. All BKA articles are non-edited other than basic spelling and grammar errors that hinders understanding. The content and meaning are unchanged in anyways.

I hope you enjoy this interview. I enjoyed this interview very much and of all of the interview I have done so far, Coolissport is so far the one that showed the most energy. Konrad Hi Coolissport, many thanks for taking your time to do this interview with me. I hope both you and the readers will have fun reading and for you doing this interview. Before we get more detailed questions, let's start with some general information about you. Please share anything you want to share about your RL like name, age, hobbies, city where you live, anything you want to share so that the readers will get to know Coolissport the person better.

Coolissport Well, my name is coolissport. Better known as Kevin in real. I'm 20 years old and as you can see at my name I like sports (Coolissport = Sportiscool). I live in Blaricum right now. By my uncle (And i don't give you the address, because people will stalk me XD). I have a daughter called Caitlyn. She is 14 months. I'm working for EVA Media. That's the company of Paul de Leeuw who produces Dutch tv programs like X de Leeuw and Rank.

Konrad Really cool, you must be excited to work for Paul de Leeuw right? What do you do for him?

Coolissport Well, it's pretty cool yes! In the program X de Leeuw are always wishes from people. It are most times funny wishes. Like people who wants in a carousel (A merry go round thingy) for the whole show. It's about fun. But sometimes it's serious. Paul is a really good guy who sees there's a line between serious and fun. You can't laugh when somebody is died. >But now about what my job is as producer. It's my task that everything is there for a show. Like decor, or the things we need by wishes. It's a very exciting job. There are about 10-20 wishes each show. So there's no time for relaxing.

Konrad How did you learn about this game and what aspect/ element that makes eRep fun to you?

Coolissport I know eRepublik by Yasupa (MEEP!) he posted on a forum his ref (Where it was forbidden!!!!) but I was so nice to register on his ref. My first days were boring. But after involving in ePolitics I really liked it. The people on eRep are really nice and i made some really good friends.

Konrad To me, the eNetherlands is tolerance and openness. People from all over the RL world called eNL their eHomeland (I am one of them). You are a RL Dutchie, what does the Netherlands (in a philosophical way) means to you?

Coolissport It's for me a quite peacefull nation. We don't have any problems with being attacked. Or political takeovers. It's indeed a really open country. Everybody who is doing nice get's accepted. I think that is why I like eRep. I think when I got in a country with a lot of flaming i would quit. It's like the real Netherlands, open and nice.

Konrad I understand that you started at first as a LSDer; however, you recently changed party to the I&W. Can you tell us why the sudden move?

Coolissport Well, that has a very simple reason. First no offence to the following party's they are doing a great job. I started in my pre-noobtime at LP I just choose a random party. Then i went to the LSD because I liked the people. That was my semi-noobtime. But after real reading the programs I liked the ideas of I&W more. Now it's my post-noobtime. I think I really know what i want now and that the I&W will be my party.

Konrad You are pretty new in erep compared to many of your colleagues in congress, and the ministry. What motivated you to be in politics and the ministry and congress? Also in your opinion, what are the causes of your success?

Coolissport My motivation was that I like really politics. Actually i just quit the congress and i don't want to run anymore. I just don't like the congress and i think i'm only available for ministry jobs. I don't have any successes. But I'm on my way with ArtemIvanov (Minister of Ministry and Recruitment) to make a babyboom. And I think we're doing a great job. I think people choose me because my high activity and i have the opportunities

Konrad A congress question. Why did you vote no on updating the constitution in Shakerr's bill? Did you vote on party lines or are their other reasons like personal beliefs that cause you to vote no?

Coolissport I think it's pretty useless to do this. If a ministry is doing something wrong the Prime minister is the men who can kick them in their asses. And not the congress people. Sometimes the congressmen can't see what we are doing on the background. I think the government is formed by some really experienced people, and if a ministry is doing something wrong the PM can give them a kick or even fire him. No voting procedures needed.

Konrad You are the Vice Minister of Recruitment and Coaching (MoRC), can you tell us about what you do currently, like any special projects etc. Also what are the MoRC's future goals etc that it hopes to accomplish?

Coolissport We already started up the coaching program. I think this is really nice. Getting baby's is not the hardest thing. Keep them interested is. We have a really nice coaching tool where we can see how many baby's and born with the names of the baby's. Since I looked (11 AM GMT +1) and now it's 4:39 Pm there are 2 baby's. If we can get those two active would help a lot. Maybe they are our future president. It's not going about 100 people in 1 time. It's going about get people active. We're also busy with the Babyboom. We have a lot of plans but we need to think more about the plans and then we need to run them.

Konrad How can players (especially new players) get the aid and services of the MoRC? Are there requirements or a threshold in exp/ lvl for players to receive MoRC services?

Coolissport Everyone is welcome for some good advices. We don't say, you're level 20, we don't help you! Our main service is helping the people with their first steps in the eWorld on an objective way. You may not influence them in politics or that kind of things. We give them links to tutorials or even make them.

Konrad You are also in the UNL Awards team. What motivated to be on the team? Also what are your responsibilities in the UNL Award team?

Coolissport I really like the idea of UNL awards. You're awarding people for their great jobs. This keeps them motivated to stay in eRepublik and better eNetherlands. My job is to moderate and contacting the sponsors if they still want to sponsor and searching for new sponsors. We have an amount of 10 + gold this month we can award to people.

Konrad Where can people take part of this awards like voting etc? Can you give us a link or something? Also, if I am a company or an org etc that wants to support this award, who should I contact and what should I do?

Konrad So you are a congressman, minister, UNL Award team, and an ambassador. What is next? Do you have presidential ambitions? Also what are your future goals etc?

Coolissport To be clear, I'm not congressman anymore. I don't have any further ambitions like being president. I'm too busy with my little daughter and my work. I do what i can.

Konrad How much time do you spend each day on average doing eRep stuff?

Coolissport Well, I'm a lot on IRC but that's most times not for talking about eRep. So let's say 1-2 hours. Sometimes more, sometimes lesser 😉

Konrad Time for some fun questions:. What is your favorite football team?

Coolissport Yay, finally! In times of World Championship it's Holland of course. I'm getting orange in many ways. In the Eredivisie I'm fan of Feyenoord (Dear Mitch, NOT KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
