Battle Hero

Day 2,031, 06:13 Published in Belgium Slovenia by Ekfant

Battle Hero (BH) medal is awarded for making the greatest damage (influence) during one mini-battle (mini-battle, or round, part of the campaign, which lasts for 90-120 minutes). In every division, and in every mini-battle, there is BH medal for player with the biggest damage. On the other hand, the Campaign Hero (CH) medal is awarded to only one player, who make the greatest damage throughout the whole campaign (war). That player could belong to any of four divisions, but it is basically always someone from D3 or D4, because of the strength. No mattter which division the winner of the Campaign Hero (CH) medal belongs to, the reward is always 5 gold. Unlike that, for Battle Hero (BH) medal, the size of the reward is different for each division, and it is respectively:

- D1 (1-24. level) – 2 gold
- D2 (25-29. level) – 3 gold
- D3 (30-36. level) – 4 gold
- D4 (37+ level) – 5 gold

How strong should you get before you start chasing BH medals?

That is quite relative and it varies through time. And of course, it mainly depends on the division you belong to. Therefore it would be for the best if you would spend some time observing battles in your division, in order to see how much damage (influence) it usually takes to win BH medal. You could do that pretty easy by use of this tool.

How you should choose a battle?

- You should definitely fight in RW (resistance war), instead of the MPP battle (MPP battle, or the direct battle – battle in which whole alliances are taking part – MPP stands for Mutual Protection Pact). The reason for this is the fact that in MPP battles there are many more players involved and much more damage is needed in order to win BH.

- Fight in RWs for smaller countries, since there is also less competition. You can see countries list by number of citizens here.

- Choose the wright time of day for your BH chase. You could do this by taking time zones into consideration, so you would fight when most of the players from that country are not online. Or you could use the easier way to check this, by going to this page. There you could choose the country of your interest and see how many players it has online at the moment:

- Do not fight for medals in days of various missions, promotions etc. (this also applies for a few days after that). The reason being, at those times there are many players who have all kinds of boosters, rockets and other things that would make your BH winning much harder and more expensive.

- When you reach D3 and D4, have in mind that you are now also a candidate for the Campaign Hero (CH) medal, and there are people chasing that medal, even if you don`t. So you should always avoid fighting in the first round of the campaign, since in that round usually player who is fighting for CH will “declare his candidacy” for CH medal by hitting hard in the opening round and winning BH medal. Also avoid the final round, because players who didn`t manage to reach an agreement about CH medal will race each other for it.

- It is also important to take current campaign score into consideration. For instance, if the score is 60:62 that usually means that it is a war of great importance for both sides, so chasing a medal here would usually be very expensive. So try to find a campaign where the score is clear and the winner is practically already decided, since there would probably not going to be any greater further involvement by majority of players.

What weapons you should use?

D1 – After some period of training, when you become strong enough to fight for BH relatively easy, you should use rockets and ff (food fights – regular fighting energy). Naturally, for ff you should use q7 tanks only.

D2 – If your hit hasn`t exceeded 10.000 use bazookas, along with ff or rocket, when needed.

D3 and D4 – By the time you reach these divisions you are probably going to have enough experience in order to decide on your own what weapons you should use. Still, in most cases, ff and rocket is the best choice.

Make a good calculation how much you are going to spend on your BH, make the rocket if you have decided for that option, and start fighting. You should start fighting from the very beginning of the round, in order to make clear for the other players that you are chasing BH. Your main goal is to win the medal as cheap as possible. Still, do not try too cheap (by making as small amount of damage as possible), because in those cases usually someone will try to “take the medal from you”, so it will turn into a race that will cost you too much.

Increase your lead and maintain it until the end. It is advised to keep the advantage higher than the damage that could be made by the strongest rocket available to your division. Still, you can never be 100% sure.

Therefore be alert, especially during the last few minutes of the round, because there are lot of players who like to “steal” BH medal during the last seconds of the battle (mainly by use of rockets).

You should have in mind that division 4 is very crowded, and many of those players are significantly stronger than you. Therefore winning the BH and CH medals in D4 is pretty hard thing to do, so you should tend to win as many of them as you can while you are still the member of the first three divisions.
