Let's say you attack a region with 26 citizens, which would cost 27.6g with the new battle cost formula of 25g + 0.1g per citizen in the region, there are now about 8+ battle hero medals minimum per battle, per side, assuming each one of those battle hero medals = 4g, the attackers side alone would get 32g from treasure map gold.

Battle cost = 27.6.g
Battle Hero gold = 32g

It's my understanding now that battles don't take gold from the economy anymore, at least ones where you attack a region with less than 70 citizens.
