Awesomeness Will Return To The CP

Day 1,132, 16:52 Published in Australia Australia by Cottus Arci

Possibly the most awesome newspaper in eRepublik not to have gotten an Media Mogul medal! Yes, that's an obvious hint, motherfrackers.

People of eAustralia, amidst an epic struggle to keep our nation alive from the appendage-envy of eIndonesia... another struggle in taking place, behind the scenes, to restore this nation to it's glory and to end the lacklustre half-assed leadership we've intermittently seen over the past 2 years.

Rant
God-dammit... to lead this country is such an honour, I still smile about it today. I put in so much effort, and it really pisses me off to see the CP position these days is seemingly easier to get into than pierricbross's leopard skin panties.

Labour
I saw recently that Bowen was supplying troops for the campaign in WA. In fact, for a good while, the only one. I don't mean to sound elitist, but the CP really does have better things to do than manual labour like supplying troops. That is what our military command is for.

Point is this...
A CP is a leadership position. You spend most of your time in constant communication with an absolute myriad of people. In just 30 seconds on IRC (oh yes, the most vital tool of them all), you can be delegating orders and listening to feedback from your Ministers, nutting out strategies with CP's of other nations, discussing military tactics with EDEN command, reassuring a citizen who had a concern... and all of this takes place, all the time, constantly.

Brix get shat
Ever noticed how the momentum of some CP's just completely die, the second they become CP? All that hype, all that lead-up, all those promises... dead. You probably assume that, like a true politician, they get the job and then sit back and do nothing. Wrong. They are shitting their pants. They are freaking out. A million things suddenly require their attention and they simply cannot focus.

The Difference
Some CP's simply ain't got it. Ministers, Marshalls, all these other positions are simple. Sure, they may be more manual labour based, more menial... but they are generally a rinse and repeat process, and well within a small spectrum of thinking. That's why some people make good members in a Cabinet, but wouldn't, or didn't make a good choice as CP. Is it nice to hear? No, but it's the truth.

Awesomeness Will Return To The CP
Awesomeness Will Return To The CP. Awesomeness is applying the above line of thinking to choosing who gets to lead us. Only with the right people in the right positions, will you get decent results.

Oh, did you think I was running?
Negative. I'm still way too rusty to even comprehend the CP position. Yes, I'll consider it at a later date, time, RL, a million other factors willing.

I know Awesome when I see it...
And I see it in Larni Kaddlestorm. She was one of our brightest prospects during my 2nd CP-era - you'll remember it was Larni who allowed me to run in Feb and win under AMP, when no-one else would. However upon my return, I've seen a transformation within her that is truly, awesome. Her display of leadership during the lead-up and execution of the liberation was truly stunning. Take my word for it.

Miss Awesome for CP!
When two out of the only three people to receive the Knight of the Order of Australia are directly backing you and in your corner... you can't fail. Myself and Derek Apollyon see January 2011 as a month of Awesome leadership, and feel Larni has the exact type of attributes to accomplish this. Be prepared for revolutionary reform, firm and clear leadership, sound judgement.

Oh, and lots of Awesome.

Cottus.
