Awards, Wars and some nostalgia.

Day 659, 20:01 Published in Australia Australia by zaney

What would a comment from myself be, without it being lathered in the 'olden days'.... uninteresting ramblings of times past and people forgotten.

What would the 'old guard' be for, if not to guide in to place the fresh talent of today.

I bring to you today an attempt to combine my two eRep interests, and introduce..........

zaneys Historically Themed Catagorical Awards of Recognition and Prestige!
(or zHTCAoRaP, pronounced zh-kay-o-rap, silent T)

Today I start it off with an award that holds very special significance to me.

but first we'll start, as each award will, with a history lesson:
The AMC Redbacks

The AMC Redbacks were the second division of our army. Formed soon after the DropBears they were to work in our government-run companies and handle all logistics of any war effort.

Entirely made up of volunteers , The "Australian Medics Corp RedBacks" were often the most community oriented and committed of our players
With the promotion of Commander Tecchi to commander of the Redbacks, the division took on a life force of its own, Coming to stand for what the resistance meant to Australia, our passion for our homeland, and most importantly the commitment we have to eachother.
With great socialites, intellectuals and drunkards such as Reminisce, Br0adside, and BenP, the division stood out in the world as the only force to be more committed to its role as a unit than the even government itself.

An example of the Redbacks

Unfortunately military reforms, and new technology, made the Redbacks role as Gifters, Company workers and Logistics specialists redundant. They were disbanded in their prime.

Congratulations, Admiration, and huge amounts of thank you go today to the recipient of the

SPIRIT OF THE REDBACKS award.

Let's not delay any longer.
The recipient of the Spirit of the Redbacks award will today be handed to.........

SRG91!

This person has exemplified the commitment above all else that is required to make a eNation a great one. He has worked extensively and exhaustively, often singlehandedly, on improving and managing the armed forces. Not to mention his work in Foreign Affairs (but his MoFA work is not what's on show today)

Please join me in thanking Srg for his work that drives the nation forward. Not only in MoD, but in any role he is given.

I won't spoil the titles of the other awards, but be sure that those who you may think deserving of an award, may actually have an award named after them instead, if they are pioneers of talent.
I will try to keep these awards as prestigious as possible. So don't expect a weekly, or even monthly, ceremony.
