I've been forced to cut salaries. I understand if you are upset, but frankly, not many people are purchasing raw materials from the marketplace.

In order to remain cost competitive with both imports and domestic competition, I'm forced to drop salaries to current levels. I will raise them once raw material prices rise.

If you have a skill other than land trained, it may be a good time to consider returning to that industry.

Raw material prices will not rise. While I do not work for your company, I am in the Raw Material industry and have had my salary cut a good deal since I first joined. The market is balancing itself out so that (ideally) a manufacturing worker and raw materials worker both with skill 2 will make the same amount of money. Don't listen to complaints because the cuts are industry wide and will continue until it all gets balanced out (in like 3-4 weeks)

I think they'll rise back up a bit. At least 15% up.
