Atlas News Interviews: TitanSmash (12/10/2011)

Day 1,422, 11:09 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by ApronChef

Atlas News has begun meeting and interviewing people in the eWorld once more, and this time; Atlas News Interviews TitanSmash, Head Director of The Trade Federation

Please take a seat, TitanSmash, would you like anything to drink?
Sure a glass of water would be great.
Rightio, here is your water, anything to eat, biscuit?
No, I’m good thanks
Wonderful (More food for me). Let’s begin the questions shall we?
First Question:
What gave you the inspiration to form/found The Trade Federation?
My Inspiration was to make eUK a better place to live for older and newer players. I wanted to help give younger players a better start then I first received, with the hopes that someday the players I have helped would look back at what I did for them and maybe they would do the same for other players.
Brilliant, The second question is: What are your five main goals of The Trade Federation for the next 6 months?
Hmmmm, well that depends, I want more eUK Citizens to join The Trade Federation. I hope that The Trade Federation Bank will be Operational within a few months. I want to get Trade Federation members more active on the forums and start to get them to sign investments or loans with each other. And to hopefully start bringing more gold into the eUK economy, and with that to start seeing a decrease in gold prices.
Is the current Gold price crisis, a damaging factor to The Trade Federations growth at the moment?
I would say no, as I will always suggest player to ask for a money loan/investment rather than a Gold loan/investment. I think it will make it harder for players to create Raw Material Companies such as Rubber Plantation and Hunting Lodges, as well as upgrading factories. But it’s something we have to deal with right now.
Are there other scheme's in place, apart from loans that enable players to expand and develop under guidance?
Currently there are no other schemes besides loans/investments between players. There is an idea of a Trade Federation related bank, but it is still in discussion. We hope that with the formation of a Council more ideas can be brought to the table.
A Council? How many members will be on this council?
There will be three members on the council. One is an honoured guest and the other two are positions that need to be applied for. The Council will meet with the Directors once a week, the day has not yet been chosen. During the meeting they will discuss ideas and take part in votes. The council will be treated as equals with any director.
How will the council, decide what to put on its agenda, and what to vote upon?
That will be decided on a day to day bases every idea will be discussed. Clearly not everything will be put forward to be voted on. It would all depend on what ideas are brought forward.
Will there be a suggestion thread on the forum for members of The Trade Federation to post on?
For the council to discuss that is.
Indeed there is in fact already one. Members can post suggestions of functions they think would be useful to the organization. The council would then discuss these at the meetings.
Will there be times when the council will be re-elected to ensure a diverse amount of members can participate, or only when one council member fails to meet standards or goes inactive?
That’s something the directors will have to discuss once our new Co-Director is hired. It is surely something to think about. But it wouldn't be an election it would be something you would have to apply for. But with the formation of the council not very many members have applied for the position.
I see, and those that did apply, are they compatible with the role they applied for, or are others encourages to apply?
I encourage for members to apply, as it gives me an idea of just how many are interested in helping The Trade Federation. It also allows for different members to express different idea or opinions. So far the members that have applied, are compatible for the role in which they applied for.
What do you intend to do in order to promote activeness and overall more interaction between members of The Trade Federation.
At the moment I have nothing in place. I have a few ideas which of course must be discussed first.
Understandable, are you thinking of making presence on the IRC channel compulsory for a few days a week, e.g. 3 days a week required?
I would have to say No, I don’t really want to make people feel forced to have to do something. IRC is a bonus in my opinion it’s a place for people to discuss and talk about things.
Rightio, we will now take a 15-20 minute break, and will continue the interview after the short break, thankyou very much for answering these questions, and will see you in 20 minutes, please help yourself to the refreshments provided.
No Problem I'll see you in 20 minutes

Welcome back TitanSmash, ready to continue with the questions?
Yes, lets continue.
I see you ate all of the refreshments, even the plates, so I bet you are eager to lose some pounds during this interview.
The next question I was wanting to ask is:
Where do you see The Trade Federation in the close future, and in the distant future?
I would like to see The Trade Federation become a major organization within the eUK. I hope that we might be able to effect the economy in a good way.
Do you wish The Trade Federation to become an extremely dominant force within the world economy?
I wish The Trade Federation to become an extremely dominant force within the eUK economy, and as for the world, I’m not sure yet.
Very well, another question I would like to ask is: Are there any rising economic players within The Trade Federation (apart from Dr Rosa) that have impressed you with their success?
Can you repeat the question please?
Have any members within The Trade Federation impressed you with their economic progress? (Excluding Dr Rosa, as we all know that her progress is unparalleled)
There is Richard Byrd, I would say he has impressed me, there are probably a few others but their names have escaped me at this time
It is good you take an interest within specific players within the Organisation, it shows some very active leadership.
How do you intend to get all members of The Trade Federation to work harder, and achieve their goals?
A possible reward system which is just an idea I have in mind at the moment, which might help motivate players to work hard, it is in no way a bribe
That is a good idea, and for the next question: Do you intend to put a limit on the number of members within The Trade Federation, to avoid too many inactive's, and only keep the members which will help The Trade Federation prosper?
That is something to think about, but we do not want to limit the number of citizens we help, it’s possible we might limit members or make more jobs to help deal with the increased volume of members.
For the last question: Are there any scheme’s that are going to go ahead quite soon, and if so why?
Well, there will be the Celebration Prize Give Away, this is because we are celebrating our new staff members; A new Co-Director, that’s you ApronChef, And also Three Council Members, Emergy Maxfell, GrayishDragoon and Veruvia.
Thankyou very much for agreeing to have this meeting with me, and to conclude the interview, would you like to make a final statement?
It’s no problem at all, thankyou for having me. The Trade Federation is always welcoming new members to join, any eUK citizen wishing to make money or increase their daily profit is encouraged to join The Trade Federation and start working towards a better future.

Thankyou Very much for taking your time to read Atlas News.

I hope it was worth the read, please comment below if so/not.

Atlas News has had a reform, and will now be taking a much more professional approach, as you can see, we now have official newspaper banners, made by the Great DR Rosa, and I thank her extremely for being kind enough to make the new banners.
