Day 1,512, 08:07 Published in USA Canada by New Faustian Man

Welcome! If you're thinking of joining the Asha'man or wondering what they are, read on. This article is intended as a short illustration of how the Asha'man will operate on Erepublik.

Foreword

The Asha'man is an MU styled after the Asha'man of the Westlands. The structure and ethos of the group is identical to that of the Black Tower Asha'man. Anyone who joins the Asha'man of Erepublik can expect the same ranking system and potential for advancement, up to and including the haloed level of Tsorovan'm'hael, or "Storm Leader" as it translates. Advancement however only comes about through hardwork and training. As an Asha'man you'll be expected to fight and kill without mercy from Day 1. But this, I suspect, you probably knew already...

What is an Asha'man?

The term Asha'man derives from the Wheel of Time fantasy series by Robert Jordan. An Asha'man is a channeller of Saidin, the male half of the One Power. Full details of both the Wheel of Time and Asha'man can be retrieved here.

The name Asha'man translates as "guardian" or "defender" from the Old Tongue, but this only goes some of the way to describe what the title actually means. In the Old Tongue the term Asha'man describes someone who will always fight for a just cause, not unlike the original meaning of "Aes Sedai", i.e. "Servants of All".

The Ranking System of the Asha'man
