eCanada suffers yet another theft

Yesterday, eCanadians faced the fourth occurrence in a year of fraud from a trusted government official and the second time from its Country President (CP). The current CP seemingly orchestrated what would have been considered the single largest treachery in eCanada’s recent history. Within a 1 hour period (between 11:30 and 12:30 eRep time) CP Wes Lewis proposed two resolutions:
1. Change the New Citizen Message to “This truly is Mayhem......Project Mayhem”
2. Make the eUSA eCanada’s natural enemy

Also around the same time, the National Bank liquidated +/- 2,000 gold onto the money market, which it is likely the perpetrator simply bought for a minuscule amount of money (the easiest and cleanest way to steal money without your name being tied to it).

Around 13:30 eRep time Lewis logged onto the eCanadian IRC and claimed ignorance regarding all of the actions “his account” had perpetrated earlier that day; to which most citizens reacted poorly, banning both Wes Lewis and Rolo Tahmasse from the eCanada IRC.

eCanadian citizens alive in October will recall that last theft by former CP Rolo Tahmasse. In October Tahmasse admitted to conspiring with others under the banner of a group called “Project Mayhem”. At the time congress members “over-reacted” and immediately moved to impeach Tahmasse without following the proper procedure, this action resulted in Tahmasse “going rogue” and stealing over 2,000 gold from government coffers before his impeachment. At the time a younger Wes Lewis was the acting Deputy Attorney General and was the person who exposed Tahmasse. Lewis’s handling of the case was poorly received and he was actually befriended by Tahmasse as both were considered social outcasts.

When Lewis announced he was running for CP, Tahmasse was always eerily close to the Lewis campaign. In an interview with Lewis last night, the disgraced CP claimed to have been hacked and reluctantly acknowledged that the perpetrator could have been closer to him then he had expected. In October Lewis accepted an offer form Tahmasse to sell his eRep account. However a day after providing Tahmasse access to his account, he had a change of heart and reclaimed his account. However, it appears that Lewis did not change his password, thus tacitly granting Tahmasse access to his account. When asked whether he had asked Tahmasse if he had “hacked” his account and perpetrated the acts that unfolded yesterday Lewis responded “No need to accuse him of something he may not have done”.

With the proposed New Citizen Message and the access foolishly provided by Lewis to Tahmasse, the events of yesterday are becoming clear and the persons at fault include a naive Lewis and most likely the disgruntled Tahmasse.

The complete interview with Wes_Lewis is available here.

eChina and ePakistan

ePakistan struck back at eChina today following the near complete removal of ePakistan from the Indian subcontinent. Over the last three weeks eChina has found great success against ePakistan, capturing 14 of the eNations regions. The actions of eChina have been wildly received by eChina’s ally eIndia, as eChina has been turning the captured regions, for the most part, back to the eNation, who was nearly wiped off the map by ePakistan in November.

Todays attack in the region of Northern India, should end in a victory for eChina, you is not committing many resources to other military actions around the globe.

eSerbia and eCroatia

Today eSerbia reinitiated hostilities with eCroatia, attacking the eNations occupying region of Central Montenegro. The move from eSerbia would effectively remove eCroatia’s only fruit region and remove the eNation from occupying any regions outside of their native ones.

The move marks a the first direct conflict between the two eNations since eSerbia nearly wiped eBiH off of the map earlier this year, leaving eBiH with only one region (Brako District). The battle should receive considerable attention from EDEN member-nations in the hopes of stemming continued hostility from eSerbia on eCroatian soil.

eRepublic of China (Taiwan) and eSouth Korea

Marking the first “war” eRepublic of China (Taiwan) (RoC) has engaged in since its creation in October, the training war between the two eNations has seen a number of back and forth region swapping over the last month.

eSouth Korea, who is currently under an eRomanian PTO has been helping to build up the strength of their southern neighbour of RoC who is dominated by eChinese citizens.

While there have already been eight battles between the two eNations, the chance of this training war ending anytime soon is remote as the tactic seems to be working for both eNations quite well, with both experiencing economic and experience point booms as of late.
