New eNations

As eRepublic continues to develop, the Admins have announced that they will be filling in some of the ominous grey space on the eWorld Map with some additional eNations. eNations the Admin have chosen to add in an update this week are Cyprus, Republic of China (Taiwan), New Zealand, Montenegro, and the Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). Throughout the week Getty-Rable Basic Press will be featuring reactions from around the eWorld to the additions of these eNations.



Showcase: New Zealand

After months of lobbying RL citizens of New Zealand have finally had their request answered by the Admin; New Zealand will be added to the game.

Ad campaigns have been launched around the globe by would-be eNew Zealand citizens encouraging people to move there and “help reunite the sheep”. In a series of lulz articles published in regions that have a high number of sheep, eNew Zealand advocates have claimed that they will not rest until the have conquered all regions rich in sheep-resources. For those who are not aware, New Zealand is well known for having more sheep than people.

Unlike the problems that have plagued the addition of some of the other eNations, with tension rising over naming and resources, eNew Zealand seems to be a welcome addition to the eWorld. It will like the other new eNations face the threat of PTOs in their infancy, but will hopefully grow into an independent eNation over time.





eWorld Country President Elections

Remember to VOTE today in your Country President Elections.

As is the case with Congress elections, sometimes there are elections for Country President in which an alien eNation will attempt to continue or initiate a Political Take-Over (PTO).

While a complete list of CP – PTO results will be published tomorrow some key eNations where a new PTO may take hold, or where an Anti-Take-Over (ATO) may see success in breaking a PTO attempt are:

eAustralia : Where ATO nominee Wally Wilson of the Australian Military Party may defeat the eIndonesia led PTOers and their Poision and Perish Party.

eBosnia and Herzegovina : Where buzga of the Narodna Partija eBiH may hold off an eSerbian PTO attempt.

eBolivia: Where talomedina of the Bolivia Unida will attempt to hold off an eArgentinian led PTO attempt.

eSouth Africa : Where impeached (by eHungarian led PTOers) Country President Grimestone of the United Democratic Alliance hopes to regain the office from the eHungarian PTOes and their Progressive Party of South Africa.





eIreland

Today, the eUK attacked the eIrish Capital of Dublin. The attack, which came without warning on the final day of current Country President jamesw term in office. While the eUK is usually very quick to publish battle orders directive troop movement, they have yet to print battle orders for the military action in Dublin, leading some citizens to question whether the attack was pre-meditated by the eUK cabinet.

Regardless of the circumstances of the attack, eIreland’s government has already issued battle orders, urging citizens to defend the capital.

eIran and eTurkey

Today, a vote that was proposed in the eIran Congress to declare war on eTurkey passed. The war declaration between these two Phoenix allies is not linked to tensions of hostility, but rather military positioning, a possible training war and a rumored region swap.

According to sources in eIran the war declaration will allow eTurkey to region swap into and through eIran to gain access to high-resource regions. I will provide updates on this story as they become available.
