TODAY IS CONGRESS ELECTION DAY, don't forget to vote.

To my eCanadian readers, I Roger Griswald am running fro Congress in our beautiful capital of Prince Edward Island with the EPIC Party. My main platform issues are transparency and communication.

As a person who produces a daily newspaper, I am well versed in the activities of governments around the world. As is the case with many of the EPIC Party candidates, I feel that the eCanadian government should be more accountable to its citizens, to this end I will push the government to publish weekly updates as to its actions and also play a greater role in assisting players to acclimatize to eRep. These are just two basic things that most of the larger eNations currently do and should be done by eCanada.

For more information about EPIC check out our open forums at: http://ecanada.cc/epic/ or join us on our open IRC: http://ecanada.cc/epic/viewforum.php?f=26]EPIC

(apologies to those this message doesn't apply to, but this is my only Newspaper~cheers)

eWorld Congress Elections

Congress elections are underway around the eWorld. As with most elections there are a number of political take-over(PTO) and anti-take-over(ATO) attempts happening. While greater coverage of the status of PTO and ATO attempts will be provided tomorrow, some places to watch include:

eAustralia: where RL eAustalians will try to break the eIndonesian led Angel/Demon PTO (Poison and Perish Party) of the Congress following their break of the PTO of the Country President in the most recent elections.

eSouth Africa: where all political parties have merged to form the United Democratic Alliance Party to counter the eHungarian led PTO who run under the banner of the Progressive Party of South Africa.

eMalaysia: where the Pakatan Rakyat party (endorsed by most parties) hopes to break the eSerbian led PTO who run under the banner of Djozikeist Church of Malaysia.

eBolivia: where the eBolivian parties attempts to push-off the eArgentinian led PTO of Congress who run as the Pindonga Nacionalista.

eDenmark: where the RL Danish led by the Great Two Fish Ovens hope to hold off Phoenix led PTO attempts who are running under the banner Danish Patriot Party. eDenmark recently impeached its PTOed Country President, so these Congress elections will determine whether the eNation can hold off PTO attempts.

Good times in Liaoning had by many

The EPIC struggle in Liaoning yesterday has raised the bar for total damage dealt in one battle. With 5,017,946.38 in total damage dealt, Liaoning more than doubled the previous record (2,000,000 in the battle for Far Eastern Russia last month). In total 6,940 soldiers hit the battlefield, for the eSerbian led defenders the average damage dealt was a strong 554 per soldier, and for the eChina led attackers the average damage dealt was a shocking 1,000 per soldier.

In the end the epic battle ended with eSerbia holding onto the region. The Phoenix super-power proved once again that they can muster the troops when they need to, with nearly twice as many soldiers on the field as the attacking eChina led assault force. The battle which saw the capital, hospitals, and defense systems change hands twice, went over 2 hours into overtime, with eSerbia edging out the attackers slow pushing them back every turn.

As the Admin will be changing around the war module, Liaoning will likely go down in the history books as the prime example of military strategy implemented under the v2 system.

Liaoning's side battles

As the battle in Liaoning raged yesterday, many side battles were started between countries in an attempt to draw fire power from allies away form Liaoning. Below are the results of these side-battles

ePoland held the region of Western Siberia against an eRussian attack.

eIndonesia held off eAustralian resistance wars in their occupied regions of South Australia and Northern Territory.

eSouth Korea was able to hold onto their region of Gyeongsangbuk-do against an attack from Japan.

eHungarian held onto their occupied region of Northern Basarabia against an attack from eRomania.

eLithuania held off an ePolish attack in their region of Sudovia.

The eUK found victory in holding onto their region of Wales against a eCanadian attack.

eIreland was able to hold onto their region of North Dakota against a resistance war launched by an eSouth Korean. The region is currently on loan from the eUSA to eIreland as part of a deal to allow eIreland access to a high grain region.

eSerbia was able to hold onto their occupied region of Southern Thailand versus a resistance war launched by eUSA citizen Alexander Hamilton.

eChina held onto their occupied region of Eastern Siberia versus an eRussian resistance war.

The eUSA was able to hod onto its region of Far Eastern Russia without any challenge, thanks to their ally eNorth Korea launching an attack on the region; preventing any other battle from being started in the region by eRussia.

eMexico and eSpain

Yesterday, eMexico found success in their bid to remove eSpain not only from the region of Valley of Mexico, but from the Americas in their entirety. With eSpain dedicating their military focus on the battle in Liaoning, eMexico was able to retake the region that has changed hands between the two eNations for months.

The battle for Valley of Mexico, marks the final blow eSpain suffered due to the actions of their impeached President Ramso, who betrayed the eNation allowing eSpain's enemies to capture the regions in eSpain and the Americas. Since the actions of Ramso, eSpain has struggled to hold onto their foreign regions; now loosing all of their once strong eight-region presence in the North and South America.
