V2 Battle Royal for Liaoning: eWorld at War

Yesterday the Admin announced that they would not allow any battles to commence after 4:00 eRep time today as they would be reworking the military module. In response to the announcement, eChina executed a plan that had been in the works by their ally ePoland for weeks; they attacked Liaoning (aka Lion King).

Liaoning is the Phoenix/eSerbian stronghold in Northern China. The region is not only strategically important, being the Phoenix controlled region in resource rich Asia-Major, but is eSerbia’s (eWorld most populace eNation) only high iron region.

The eChina/EDEN attack was swift, taking out the region’s five hospitals, three defense systems and over 1,300 soldiers. Within the first 2 hours the eChina/EDEN attack force of about 300 soldiers had captured 100% of the tiles and the Capital.

The battle for Liaoning is so important to Phoenix and EDEN that multiple side-battles has been launched around the eWorld to draw fire power away from the region (for more information on where the battles are occurring scroll down). While the distraction will pull limited numbers away from the region, the Departments of Defense in at least 16 eNations have issued orders to their citizens to focus all efforts on the battle in Liaoning.

Liaoning with a side of 9 battles

As reported above, EDEN and Phoenix member eNations have gone into DEFCON-5, with attacks launched around the eWorld to draw fire power away from and capitalise on the main battle occurring in Liaoning. Below is a list of the nine additional battle happening that are linked to the battle for Liaoning:

eRomania attacked the eHungarian occupied region of Northern Basarabia. The region was originally help by the Republic of Moldova and eRomania has attempted to re-take the region on their ally in the past. The battle is slated to wrap up at 21:00 eRep time today. eCanada attacked the eUK region of Wales. eCanada and the eUK have engaged in a war over the last two months that saw eCanada capture all, but three eUK regions without eCanada ever loosing any of its original regions to the eUK. A resistance war was started in the region of North Dakota. The war was launched by an eSouth Korean. The region is currently on loan from the eUSA to eIreland as part of a deal to allow eIreland access to a high grain region. The battle is slated to wrap up at 21:30 eRep time today. A resistance war was launched in Southern Thailand against the eSerbian occupation. The war was launch by eUSA citizen Alexander Hamilton. The battle for Southern Thailand is slated to wrap up at 23:00 eRep time today. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/wars/show/2797)

eNorth Korea also attacked its ally eUSA’s region of Far Eastern Russia, the attack was launched to prevent eRussia from starting a resistance war int he region.





eCroatia

Yesterday eCroatia attacked the eSerbian occupied region of West Srpska Republic. The region which was originally controlled by eBosnia and Herzegovina (eBiH) has been under eSerbian control for the last two weeks. Over that time period eCroatia and eBiH have attempted four times to recapture the region.

With the war waging in Liaoning today, eSerbia and its allies were greatly distracted, affording eCroatia the edge it needed to finally capture the region for their close ally eBiH.

eMexico

Yesterday, eMexico launched an attack on eSpain’s last remaining region in the Americas; Valley of Mexico. The attack, which was coincidentally launched at the same time as the eChina attack on Liaoning, may result in eMexico, who is not a Phoenix, nor EDEN member-nation, finding success as eSpain will be devoting the vast majority of their resources to the battle in Liaoning.

The battle for Valley of Mexico is slated to wrap up at 20:00 eRep time.
