eWorld at Peace?

A quick look at the Wars List this morning (9:00 eRep time) and citizens will notice that there are no active battles taking place in the eWorld. An eWorld without active battles hasn't occurred in over four months (excluding the forced peace when v2 launched). While pacifists may view this as a positive, the vast majority of eCitizens see today's global state of peace as both dull game play and economically harmful.

Without active battles to spur on the economy and the recent tinkering of the productivity formulas by the Admin, many companies are struggling to keep their doors open. Tthe number of companies for sale for less than 20 gold around the eWorld is up significantly meaning that there are a lot of owners desperate enough for gold that they are selling their companies for less than their base price. Should ther be a sustained global peace, that number will grow near exponentially.

With ePoland positioned to strike at Lianonig, eSerbia, today's peace may simply be the forgoing calm before the storm. An attack on Phoenix's last remaining Asia-major region would be an awesome battle, with thousands of combatants from both EDEN and Phoenix member-nations. For ePoland to find success in the battle, they would need their allies to open multiple other fronts around the world to draw Phoenix's supporting soldiers away from Liaoning. Should a direct attack occur, with full forces fighting on both sides, the tactical advantage would go to eSerbia as the region has five hospitals and two defense systems, making the region a veritable fortress.

The eSerbian government has been ordering citizens to the region map before they log off of the game, as a preemptive defense in case of attack. There are currently over 1,500 soldiers on the field at the moment, occupying nearly every hexagon on the field.

eIndonesia

After weeks of negotiating, it appears that eSerbia will not reach the eIndonesian occupied region Northern Territory, Australia. While eSerbia has eyed the high-titanium region for months and enacted a logistically complicated and costly plan to move to it via region swapping from their once held regions in Pakistan, through eIndia to their current regions in Malaysia it may have been a waste of energy.

After region swapping literally a quarter of the way around the world, a quick look at the world map and you will see that eSerbia is only two regions away from Northern Territory. Their problem now is that the current eIndonesian government do not want to “soil” their original regions. eIndonesia is one of very few eNations who has never seen any of their original regions occupied by a foreign government. Thus, should they have allowed eSerbia to move through their regions to Northern Territory, the current eIndonesian government would be ending that record.

The ordeal has caused serious tensions between the two Phoenix heavyweights and will certainly be remembered by eSerbia who spent hundreds of gold and hours negotiating the deal with three eNations, only to fall short of their goal due to road-block constructed by one of their closest and longest allies.

eUK

Yesterday, the eUK once again held off an eSpanish sparked resistance war in their allied occupied eFrench-region of Auvergne. The eUK is holding onto its two regions in Southern eFrance as they provide a border for the eNation with eSpain, a long time enemy.

Since they have been occupied by eUK, the two regions of Auvergne and Midi-Pyranees have been host to four battles over the last 10 days.

eThailand

A resitence war was stated in the eIndonesian occupied region of eThailand. The war was started by long time player and active eSerbian player, Lukaz. The war is merely a training war that will most likely transfer the region back to eThailand. eSerbia is expected move north to regions in Northern Thailand for the resources available there.
