Thanks to all those who nominated me for eCanada’s Best Writer in the eCanada Awards. I was truly surprised by both the nomination and the even more so by the win. Special props to the other two writers nominated in the category Plugson and Dr. Pain who both have excellent newspapers. Thanks to powerown64 for organising the awards and Acacia Mason for the live broadcast of the ceremonies on Northern Exposure.

Quote of the day:
“the admins clearly have no understanding of economics, eWorld or otherwise. They dick with things, like, every two weeks--before the results of their last dickery have fully matured. They need to just chill for a couple months.

Further, reducing economic diversity is NOT the way to make this game more fun. Increased complexity was one of the few beneficial changes on moving to V2. It still hadn't balanced out yet, but it was moving in the right direction”. - Azzeriath (on the new productivity formulas)

eIndonesia

Today resistance wars have been started in two regions currently controlled by eIndonesia; Southern Thailand and Western Australia. These two regions comprise the entirety of eIndonesian controlled regions outside of the eNations original regions. While the eIndonesia Government has not commented on the resistance wars since they commence, nor provided direction to its citizens to fight in them, it is clear that both resistance wars were started by eIndonesians. The two that started the wars are members of a group of eIndonesians calling themselves “Rebel” who have a self-appointed mission to disturb the peace and create war opportunities for eIndonesia.

The Rebels had apparently sent an ultimatum to the eIndonesian Government offering them 400 gold in exchange for a war with nearby eSerbia. Should the Government not agree to the terms, the Rebels would simply start resistance wars in eIndonesian regions to force a war. Apparently the government of eIndonesia chose the latter option and issued the following: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-moci-serangan-fajar-himbauan-mudik-ke-wa-1511975/1/20.

The eAustralian Country President Hinokai has called the timing of the resistance war unfortunate; asking citizens to ignore the battle and urged them not to start an additional war, should the current one fail.

ePoland

Yesterday ePoland once again attacked the eCzech Republic region of Moravia. The attack is the second attack ePoland has made against the region in the last month. The last time ePoland attacked, the eNation easily captured the region, but lost it one day later as eHungary intervened on eCzech Republic’s behalf; securing the region form ePoland.

ePoland is expected to face stronger opposition in the attack then they had previously, due to a recent military protection pact signed between eCzech Republic and eSerbia.

eLatvia

Today eLatvia attacked its long time peaceful neighbor eLithuania. The once great allies have had disagreement as of late on a variety of global issues. Since the last Country President elections, the previous agreement for a continued peace seemed impossible with the new eLatvian President agitating for war with his neighbor. Apparently the discussion of the attack within the eLatvian government caused so much tension that the Minister of Finance resigned his post citing a strong disagreement with the “reckless direction of his colleagues”.
