So, how has the week passed in the New World? Who has made progress? Who has been dealt the scent of defeat? Find out in this week's edition of Around the World!

Before we begin, I'd like to give a big apology to all y'all. I got kinda lazy 😃 Because I know everyone already knows what's happened over the last couple of weeks and there's no real need to explain, I'll just quickly glance over all the wars I was covering, alright? Wait who am I kidding? I don't need you to be okay with it 😛

And yes, I'll toss in the Six Day War stuff under the special 🙂

MAJOR WARS

The Alphabet Wars
Before

After

The Finnish-Estonian War of Monotony
Belligerents: Finland vs. Estonia
Results: Yep, they're still at it! Finland and Estonia have continued their endless war despite countless distractions in their vicinity. For the moment, Finland is the one making an advance into Estonia, occupying half of the opposing forces' land and making its way south for the umpteenth time. However, as Latvia, the nation that often pushes Finland back, is fighting its own war currently (see below), it's not implausible that if Finland does wipe Estonia, they could hold them down for a period of time. But in order to do so, they'll have to complete the job first and defeat Estonia.

Winner (this week): Finland
Winner (campaign): Finland

The Latvian Invasion of Scandinavia
Belligerents: Sweden vs. Latvia
Results: Latvia and Sweden are getting to know each other very well as of late, as they have fought each other constantly over the last couple of months. And though the reasons for war (hehe) have varied, the result has always been the same: Latvia invading Swedish provinces. To Sweden's credit, they are winning their provinces back through RWs at a very consistent rate, but Latvia is conquering lands at an equally rapid if not faster pace. Each side is waiting for the other to slip up and take control of the war. The difference between a Swedish wipe and a Swedish counterattack is very marginal, and the path shall be revealed very soon.

Winner (this week): Latvia
Winner (campaign): Latvia

The Cromanian Day at the Beach
Before

After

Belligerents: Croatia, Romania vs. Indonesia
Results: This day at the beach turned deadly in the blink of an eye. While Croatia and Romania were never completely in control of the region, Indonesia stormed in and recaptured their lands with blinding fury and charming grace. The Indos were eventually able to finish off Romania, clearing the Balkan nation from the map, or at the very least Oceania. Bringing back new ally Malaysia from the dead, the Indos started the second half of their campaign, starting an attack on Croatia. But Croatia has shown resilience, taking Kalimantan and ingraining themselves into their new base. It'll be a tough duel for both sides.

Winner (this week): Indonesia (devastating)
Winner (campaign): Croatia (minor)

The Return of Romania
Start

Belligerents: Romania vs. Bulgaria
Results: After the failed base in Indonesia, Romania was forced to return home to the Balkans. Unfortunately for them, Bulgaria had seized control of their lands in their absence, and Romania had to take back their lands back by force. Bulgaria did their best to hold on to their new possessions, but Romania put in some resounding efforts, quickly revolting three provinces back to their control. After a brief lull in declaring actual war, the battle is on! Romania has shifted their focus to the main front, and looks to continue their resurgence, while Bulgaria aims to reestablish their massive empire.

Winner (this week): Romania
Winner (campaign): Romania

The Serbian Quest for the New World
Start

Belligerents: Croatia, Bosnia, Italy, France vs. Serbia, Macedonia (FYROM)
Results: Serbia apparently took QFTNW, and is steaming westward at a brisk pace. Pushing back Croatia and wiping Bosnia is the sideshow for the Serbs, as the Balkan nation focused mainly on revolting Italy their lands held by Macedonia back. By sacrificing Macedonia's land, both to Italy and to France, Serbia is setting itself up to clean up Italy and attack France to make its way to America. Certainly, France and Italy have been unable to do anything about it. Unless Croatia can pull off a miracle, Serbia will meet the Atlantic Ocean very soon, and America will have its old EDEN ties put to the test.

Winner (this week): Serbia, Macedonia
Winner (campaign): Serbia, Macedonia
