MAJOR WARS

Iberian War
Before

After

Belligerents: Portugal, China vs. Spain
Results: Well, this week this was by far the most interesting battle. Often neglected by ONE, Spain once again fought its invaders almost single-handedly. At first, Portugal was the lone challenger, sending RWs to successfully capture back its lands. At one point Portugal had seized Castilla y Leon from Spain and had also claimed Galicia and its entire homeland. Though Spain managed to strike back, RWing Castilla y Leon back to it, after China declared war, Spain seemed down for the count. After China's successful passage through South America, it managed to capture the Spanish islands linking towards Madrid, and China has started an assault on Spanish Europe, capturing Murcia and Castilla la Mancha, and holding onto Andalucia long enough to set up a base in Spain. Madrid seems destined to fall.

Winner (this week): Portugal, China
Winner (campaign): Portugal, China

War of Hungarian Conquest
Before

After

Belligerents: France, USA vs Hungary
When Hungary started its campaign on France, it seemed unbeatable. Province after province quickly fell to the Hungarians, and France seemed certain to fall under complete occupation once again. However, as they marched further and further south, they encountered enemy opposition. Quickly surrendering Brittany back to the French, they guarded themselves from Canadian attack, and with great reluctance did they at last reach American colonial borders. Unable to avoid the inevitable, the Hungarians declared war, seizing the initiative, and hoped to quickly finish off France before dealing with the Purple Menace. Though France has yet to defend a single province successfully, the Americans have had more luck. Quickly rushing through the path given to them, they blitzed their way from Aquitaine up to Loire Valley. Paris is but a click away from being under siege. However, Hungary's success up to this point cannot be ignored.

Winner (this week): France, USA
Winner (campaign): Hungary

Turkish Revolution
Before

After

Belligerents: Turkey vs Bulgaria
Bulgaria has had a revolution under the flag of Turkey! After a week of heartbreaking defeats, the once proud nation is down to two provinces, while the resurgent Turks have eaten up the Bulgarian lands piece by piece. Bulgaria hasn't given up yet, though, putting up strong resistance in eventual defeats in Plovdiv and Ruse, as well as sending waves of RWs to free their homelands. But so far, nothing Bulgaria does seems to be working, as the Turks seem too powerful to be stopped.

Winner (this week): Turkey
Winner (campaign): Turkey

Macedonian War of Aggression
Before

After

Belligerents: Greece, Albania vs FYROM
Can you say stalemate? With the coup d'etat of Bulgaria happening next door, this front has relatively uneventful. After Greece's push and capturing of Povardarie, it seemed as if FYROM would fall under complete control of the Greeks (how embarassing!). But give them some credit; they've managed to reclaim Povardarie, and also pushed into Greek lands once again, taking Epirus, before failing to capture Central Greece. All in all, the week produced absolutely nothing. Greece could not muster the firepower to conquer all of FYROM, yet FYROM could not fully knock away the threat of invasion.
Winner (this week): DRAW
Winner (campaign): FYROM

War of Belarusian Independence
Before

After

Belligerents: Belarus, Russia vs Latvia, Lithuania
Belarus can breathe a sigh of relief. After capturing a lone province to start its independence campaign, it managed to invade three other provinces successfully, ceding the former as tribute. It also dragged Russia into the war. With Russia sizing up an invasion of Latvia, it's looking more and more likely that Belarus will escape this war in good shape. Latvia, on the other hand, may go back to the days of being Russia's puppet, and Lithuania doesn't seem as menacing alone.

Winner (week): Belarus, Russia
Winner (campaign): Belarus, Russia
