Army funding
Miyamoto_Musashi
For the sake of simplicity, I think Congress should propose giving 25 gold per month to the JIA to provide for Army expenses. All of the debate about what to fund and how much things cost obscures the fact that our Army needs funding, and we should trust in our Army leadership to make the right decisions how to use those funds. If funding is to be distributed on the same time every month (the 7th was the date I last saw), then I propose that the Army should make public a log of expenditures and donations on the 1st, so Congress can evaluate the effectiveness and scope of the Army budget.
I will formally make this proposal on the forums later today (can't now due to lack of forum access at school), but I wanted to make it clear that Congress should support the Army and start providing official funding.

Too bad 25G will not be enough for even 5 weapons to each of the 45 soldiers in JIA. JIA is a big operative unit, and we should have the courage to put money in it, so the soldiers will be ready to fight if they are needed in a real situation.
I don't think there's any question that more money will be needed to fully fund the JIA. The key right now (and I think most everybody agrees on this point) is getting the funding from the government started, and seeing the results. But I also think it's important that we make the language and intent of the money transfer clear.
Right. 25G is not nearly enough, but if we can get the congress to commit a little right away, that will help get things started.
If it will be only 4 weapons to each soldier, than it will be 4. Be organised, improve and time will bring the rest of the money one way or another. Btw 27 gold is enough for 45 soldier with current weapon prices. i'm sure u can put together an additional 2 gold if everyone gives a little portion of his/her salary.
