Occasionally someone approaches me and asks if I will publish something for them and I have almost always said "no". But tonight I have been handed a letter by a friend named Armandez. I believe it will be a good thing for eRepublik to read what he has written, as more conversation is desperately needed. My hope in reprinting this is that fruitful conversation will be sparked. It's long, but I bet you'll read every word...

Some of you have the pleasure of knowing me, some the pleasure of occasionally interacting with me, and some probably "Armandez who?". For those of you in the latter group, wtf is wrong with you? You aren't living if you don't know me.

But I digress into my awesomeness.

Months ago when Bradley Reala did what I like to refer to as "Brad's Declaration of Independence" I stated that I would support the eUS Military as long as we support the eUSA to our fullest. I was promised this would be the case.

Today I feel that promise has been broken. I have been a member of this organization for a considerable amount of time. I was here when Eugene Harlot was just a Platoon CO. I was Maxmillian VonWillebrand's first Platoon CO. I have seen much, I have done much, I have made many mistakes which I am sure certain individuals are going to love to pounce upon.

I feel the JCS as a whole is living in it's own misguided world where everyone not a part of the JCS, not a part of the eUS Military, is an enemy out to control them. That everyone else is some sort of power hungry mongrel.

Bullsh*t.

CyberWitch promises changes, a few of which she has told me and overall I like them, but they don't address many of my problems with this Military. Certain individuals insist on keeping a rift open and thriving.

We must face the facts, the eUSA has given up on the eUS Military. We are a joke. We are so stubburn we look like idiots. Look around you, loyal and once proud eUS Military members are quiting and joining units like the USAF. They aren't doing it for no reason. They see the writing on the wall. The eUS Military is sinking. It's going down. It's a motherf*cking lead zepplin.

Let me point out a few issues.

The NSC (National Security Council) is one. The JCS insists they are pointless and exist solely to try and control the JCS and the eUS Military.

Bullsh*t.

The NSC exists for the PotUS and Secretary of Defense to be able to give orders to ALL the military groups/militias in the eUSA. It also serves for the leaders of all these groups to advise the President on things.

For months now I have had access to the NSC channel. It's a load of bullsh*t what the JCS have to say about the NSC. NXNW will tell you they removed his access because "he doesn't deserve to exist", I am told by MULTIPLE people that yes his access got removed but it was a mistake and that a significant amount of time was spent apologizing to him. Basically it's a he said she said situation. Regardless, ALL the JCS members have access to the NSC channel. The only individuals who enter it are HisAirness and AutumnsDawn, might I mention AutumnsDawn has never spoken to my knowledge.


I have seen JCS members claim the NSC chooses stupid battles.

THE ENTIRE POINT OF BEING IN THE NSC CHANNEL IS TO GIVE YOUR INPUT SO STUPID BATTLES ARE NOT CHOSEN.

So many people are intent on keeping the rift between the eUSA Military alive, but in reality no one else cares. They just want us to participate, contribute our damage to the eUSA, and be all we can be.

Lets move onto funding. I love this one a lot. Especially since I am an OMS (Office of Militia Support) Deputy.

OMS Funding is pretty much super easy to comply with.

*Provide a roster of members,
*provide a list of the communes,
*allow the PotUS to see your orders to ensure when there is a must win battle in Spain we aren't fighting in say Romania.

I don't see a reason why a roster of our members is SOOOOO secret a small group of trustworthy individuals can't see it. Might I also remind everyone about our avatars...we aren't exactly SECRET.

I don't see a reason to not provide a list of our communes. It is merely to ensure that they have worked at least once in the week so they are active. The funding formula is based on numbers, so they don't want groups just adding names of people who aren't with us to get more money.

Allow the PotUS to see where we are fighting. For f*cks sake, all they need to do is see what country we are in and check the battles and see where eUS Military members are fighting.

None of this information is all that secret.

So why don't we have OMS Funding? Pride. We are too good for it. Who cares? By denying funding, we are making ourselves INTENTIONALLY weak. We are screwing ourselves out of pride.

And if you don't believe people are trying to keep the rift between the eUSA open, some are calling for us to take a trip to a different nation and fight for them. They are talking about abandoning the eUSA in the middle of a war. All for what? F*cking it over...

I can no longer be a part of the eUS Military when ideas like that are alive and kicking. I can't be a part of this when people's concepts and ideas are so radically wrong and out of tune with everything.

I'm done. I never thought I would say that. I never thought I would be happy to leave the Airborne, my home for so long. I never thought I would be happy to leave the eUS Military, my family on the internet. But my beliefs no longer apply.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side. I don't know about that, but it sure as hell greener than it is here.

The eUS Military is no longer the eUS Military. You don't serve the eUS, you serve the CJCS and the JCS. You are the JCSF, the JCS Forces.

In all my interactions with the USAF and all the militias in the eUSA, they are not the evil nazis trying to control our every action and to be our evil dictators for life. They are great groups filled with great people who want one thing. A strong and powerful eUSA. If you're disatisfed like me, join me. Leave. Find another group and join them. Fight for the eUSA and make us strong again.

Make no mistake, no change will occur in the JCSF to fix the attitudes of the many prominent figures. No one will be promoted who will make the necessary changes, the JCS won't allow that. Look back and you will see many people who railroaded out of the eUS Mil because their views did fall in line with the JCS.

I have come to the conclusion the JCS as a whole doesn’t care, along with select individuals, about the eUSA. I signed up for the eUS Military. Not the JCSF.

Sorry CyberWitch, ChubbZilla, Bia Pandora, ALL my various friends. I can no longer be a part of this. I have spoken about my troubles. As CyberWitch said, she can’t please everyone. Unfortunately, I feel the JCSF is going down a long terrible road I want no part of. I have no hard feelings towards any of you. You’ll always be my friends (whether you like it or not).

I wonder how long this will last before Jankems or another JCS Member has it deleted. They can’t exactly have someone publicly criticizing them and just simply locking it would still let you see it, which is completely unacceptable!
