Aren't Maps Nice?

So, I've tried doing this several times in the past with the old map. The results weren't awful, but due to the kinda crappy sort of distortion the map had, it was impossible to really piece the chunks of the map together cohesively. But luckily, thanks to the new map, I can finally complete the world map! I will be using this map every Saturday during Weekly Power Rankings. I only have Microsoft Paint (don't be a hater!), so it might be hard for me to work out some effects, but I'll do my best. At the very least, this is (as far as I know) the first extra-large full-sized eRepublik map, at least for the beta!

Simple but tedious process: zoom in with the eRep beta map (I zoomed to one step before the captiol buildings show up), and print screen. Set the image, move the map to a different area, print screen, frame it properly so that the map is fluid and accurate, and boom! Two chunks. Repeat for 500+ times. The little derpy islands in the middle of nowhere are the worst, mind you 😛

One minor thing of note: to make the map easier to work with, I colored in the wasteland (re: unadded countries) a dark gray. Turns out, the admins planned ahead, and added regions to the white swaths of land! Of course, not every little chunk will be its own province, but it's nice to see that the admins have thought ahead!

This week was absolutely horrid because of the sheer grunt manpower I had to put into making this map, but now, with the template finished, it should be smooth(er) sailing! At the very least, expect something like this every week 😉

Maybe I'll work on it to make it more awesome, I dunno 😃
