NSW: New Australia's second parliamentary elections were held yesterday marking a dramatic change of face in the House.

The Social Democrats came out well in the lead with a clear majority up 20% to a 55% control of the House. The Party once again took out the popular vote making it the only party to do so consecutively.

National came in behind at 35% down 5% for last election. This could spell disaster for Party President and long-time candidate for the Premiership Mr. Calibur and his party with public support appearing to subside at an alarming rate.

Undoubtedly the most dramatic result of this month's election is the apparent decline of the Alliance. Down 20% to just 5%, one seat, in the House. Once the country's largest, and indeed only political party, the Advance Australia Alliance is now going solo.
