AP😛OLITICS Prime Minister Zaney Talks To V.Grey on Party Presidency Succession

NSW: Prime Minister and APG Party Leader Zaney today released his public endorsement of Tony Stark. Mr. Stark is to succeed PM Zaney as the APG party's president following his retirement. The AP is joined by the Prime Minister in an exclusive interview on the issue.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW:
Featuring Vincent Grey and PM Zaney

V.Grey:
Good evening Prime Minister, as always, it's a pleasure to have you with us.

Prime Minister:
It's a pleasure to help you inform the people of what's happening behind the scenes.

V.Grey:
Now, today you gave your public endorsement to Tony Stark as your party's successor. Tell me, how did you come to this conclusion and why do you believe he'll be an effective party leader?

Prime Minister:
After seeing the Australian political landscape start to develop, I talked with certain 'advisors' about how we could best guide it to be an effective and competitive field.
Tony Stark was brought to my attention as someone with credentials and the mindset to both lead the nation sufficiently, and provide a balanced competition to the presidential candidate race against current and future contenders.

V.Grey:
As we know Mr. Stark is a recent immigrant from Canada having served there as a Mayor. Now lets be honest here. The thought of a foreigner in charge of the country doesn’t go down well with most Australians, as we've seen in the comment posts. Many Australians will be asking for answers.

Prime Minister:
I agree with the notion of a foreign president. Thus why I weighed the consideration of his actions and his willingness to 'prove' himself worthy of leadership. I do not place him there to have an opportunity to hold power in our nation. I allowed him to have the opportunity to prove his commitment to Australia. and I have faith he will do that in due time.

V.Grey:
He's certainly in for some difficulty there. Which brings me to another of Mr. Stark's likely electoral issues. He started this one himself actually when he made this statement in his own press release: "And so Australiana, I, Tony Stark plan to do an "Arci" and do some political takeover'ing of my own!". A great deal many citizens were extremely outraged at this terribly honest statement and yet you continue to have faith in his credibility. Tell me, how do see it?

Prime Minister:
While this may not be too much of a defense, but when you've been around Erepublik long enough you start to find things stale very easily. I can appreciate his attempt at recalling past events and making light of situations as a means to keep himself interested, as i'v done (and been critised for) the same on many occasions in the last few months. I suppose I can just appreciate his situation.

V.Grey
It's still obvious that the economy is in a state. Do you believe that, if successfully elected Prime Minister, Mr. Stark has the ability to deal with Australia's seemingly endless Financial Crisis?

Prime Minister:
I do, however I do not place our future economy in Tony Starks hands. I will release an article outlining our immediate future a few days before my retirement.

V.Grey:
The public will be awaiting intently no doubt for that release.
Thank you very much for joining us Prime Minister, and as usual it was a pleasure to have you with us.

Prime Minister.
Thank you,
