An update from the Office of the Prime Minister

Day 2,608, 17:56 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Hello to my fellow Australians.

Well I will be lying to you if I said this has not been a busy week. Not only in the role of CP, but also in getting my head around some of the game mechanics and dealing with the process. Personally, I can be impatient... So when I see stuff, plans, programs not happening, I get a bit annoyed. One thing that has really tested my patience is the 24hr wait on policy decisions.... but that is a part of the game and something I will work on.

But enough of my ramblings, please let me fill you in on what has been happening the past couple of days.

Recent Australian and Indonesian talks:

As previously discussed, Australia and Indonesia reached a NAP to end the recent conflict between our two countries. Currently we are waiting for the end of there NE against us (game mechanics means it takes 24hrs), after that there will be a peace treaty proposed to officially end the war.

As part of this NAP, Indonesia is handing back 4 regions. We currently have Queensland back in Australian control and will soon have New South Wales. I will be organising two more RW's when the game lets me. These will free the remaining regions. The RW's will be done in coordination with Indonesia to ensure a smooth transfer.

Mutual Protection Pacts:

I have proposed a mutual protection pact (MPP) with Iran. This will become official by the end of the day today. Once that is done, I will be proposing one with Norway. Edite😛 Norway has approached Australia with a MPP, I have voted in favour. I have also proposed a MPP with Greece and am awaiting a reply.

The government has agreed to a list of countries to have MPP's with. These deals will be signed with the best interest of the country at heart. Please note, while we will have MPP's with come countries, there are many who have fought along side us and will continue to do so.

Upcoming Party Elections:

In the next couple of days there will be elections to vote for your political party presidents. Please take part in these elections. They not only for the best interests of your country but also your political parties.

When you come to vote, feel free to question the policies and the plans of the candidates, feel free to put your hand up to run, to ask for help or to offer ideas. We as a country and as family are here to help each other and listen to each others ideas.

Department of Education and Entertainment:

I need to say a big Thank You to both pr3zzyy and JackTrout. I knew they were both keen and active when I put them into this role, but they have blown me away with there dedication and eagerness. We have a message thread that is going on between us three and each day there would be about 50-70 messages sent.

They have already done a national food drop, a information article on eFarming and I know they have more drops planned and also more info articles on the schemes that the government wants to roll out. While I would love to flood the media with them all at once, I know I have to be patient to ensure they get rolled out properly. Plus the fact that if we flood the media, people will just quickly read the news and not look in depth at it (the patience issues I have again...).

So in conclusion, I believe the government has started strongly and will keep going strongly. Remember as always, I have an open door policy, so please feel free to message me or comment and I will answer your questions.

Proudly serving Australia.
