Join the new world

On the 15th of April I, Krushnow, interviewed Ziggyzag; the president of the most powerful country in the Erepublik world, Sweden.

Krushnow: As a fairly newly appointed president what plans do you have for Sweden in the near future?

Ziggyzag: Well, I wouldn't say new. I have been in office for 15 days, but in reality I´ve been working as president since I became party president of FBS, that was March 10th.

K: What do you think about the war module? There have been several bugs and many people are unhappy of how it turned out, do you think that they should've put in more effort before releasing it?

Z: I think it was unavoidable. They would have gotten more stress and criticism from the citizens if they would have postponed the war module. The bugs is something everyone have to deal with. I wasn't surprised over the bugs, thats why we didn't throw ourself at it, like some others did.

K: Now that we are on the subject I have to answer the question on everyone's lips, which country will Sweden invade? Finland or Denmark?

Z: No comment.

K: He he, can't blame me for trying.

K: Denmark's president has openly insulted Sweden in several press releases and posts, do you think that this is going to far? Should they be allowed to do this?

Z: He/they have gone to far. Sweden are not fond of getting smeared in that way. We have asked for an apology, but none has been given.

K: Several changes has been made in the last weeks concerning the economy, the taxes have been raised and many 'unserious' companies have shut down and there have been mixed feelings about this, some think that it's good for Sweden, others have actually left the country. What do you have to say about this?

Z: The situation was out of control, it had to be done. I think the concrete results silenced the critics. Of course I don't want anyone to move out of Sweden, but what kind of President would I be if I would let the country fall apart. You can't please everyone.

K: Pakistan recently declared war on China but then suddenly changed their mind and asked the admins to let them cancel the war, they were granted this. Why do you think they canceled it, maybe they feared Sweden? And do you think it was a fair decision by the admins to let the Pakistanis cancel the war they rushed into?

Z: Obviously they canceled because of the involvement of Sweden, Norway and UK, they had no choice. I don't feel that the cancellation was unfair, it's more logical signing an MPP 3 days in advance.

K: There is what some people call a lot 'blood lust' in Sweden at the moment and many people want to invade other countries and some people are even talking about world domination, do you have any plans about such things?

Z: I have respect for the views and opinions of the Swedish citizens, but for now we have to cool down a little bit. Admins have even taken away the 'declare war' button, that says a whole lot. Sweden will have its war when the time is right.

K: Many people have moved to Canada to help them in the war against USA, why do you think that many swedes choose to aid Canada instead of the US?

Z: Who doesn't like an underdog?

K: Many countries holds openly anti-Sweden political views, the main reason seems to be that they consider Sweden to be a country filled with warmongering maniacs but we haven't, to many people's surprise, declared war yet. Is this a decision you made to show the world that Sweden isn't as bad as many people may believe or...?

Z: Sweden is a responsible and diplomatic nation, and we act accordingly. Every nation is welcome to open an embassy in our Swedish forum if they want to get to know us better.

K: Now one final question, now that the war module has launched many options have emerged, do you think that it's possible that Sweden will enter a new great power era?

Z: We are a superpower already if you look at all the factors, and we demand our respect, but there is no need for nations to fear us just because. But if nations have an anti-Sweden approach we will take that into consideration, and those nations will not be on our favorable side.
