Yeah I'll ask Wayne for an interview next week...anyways -

Hello to all, this month will be an exciting time for Independent Alliance members, we have our second monthly conference on Sunday March 3rd which will finalise a few loose ends that will cement the foundations of this party. We also will see the party back a candidate...or not...for the first time in this months CP election. I will shortly send you a ballot where you will have numerous options on the direction the party will take on election day, the voting will end after the party's conference ends. This will allow you plenty of opportunity to discuss the options before you cast your vote.

The party conference will start at 8pm and we hope to see you all there on our IRC channel #Independence as we will also have a vote on a new party avatar...usage is optional as always. All logs and details from last months conference can now be found in our forum section which you can visit by clicking this LINK.



Other things to be discussed and voted on at our conference will be the election of our party officers, so if any of you wish to become the Independent Alliance spokesman, secretary general etc etc then remember to pur your name forward and if two or more candidates also put their hats into the ring we will have a good old fashioned knife fight or vote...your choice. We pride ourselves on being the only party that elects all our officers in a demonstration of openness and allowing our members a say on every aspect of the party.

Well I shall add a little party address as President as it will save clogging up the media with another article, especially as it is 3 days until the Presidential election there will be more important articles being produced...and the Independent Alliance is not more important than the eUK.

So, It has been an interesting first month. We have broken ground, forged closer bonds to other parties and run with a party during the congress elections that many would have thought not possible one month previously. The gap between first and second in the congress elections was a mere 18 votes, and with definitely over 9 active members it is a sobering thought that our small party could have been the difference between first and second place for TUP/UKRP. That doesn't mean we are flexing our muscles and acting above our station, far from it...it is a genuine wake up call for the larger top five parties to approach the parties outside the top 5 and realise that small parties can be the difference.

In our first month we have grown to 21 members and breached the eUK top ten, not a bad achievement considering we started with just 2 members on the 16th of February. I am also proud we have grown and now host our own forum section as well as our own IRC channel and I would like to thank the official forum Gmods for all there help in there creations, without them we would not be where we are. Special thanks to all our members for actively participating in the party and making it a community and also a huge thank you to Prince Andrei for recording the logs to our party conference last month.

We have created something different to what is currently on offer and I hope this party can thrive and grow to create a place where people can come, have a voice, have a fun time and relax whilst feeling as important as the party president, as important as the spokesman, as important as every other member in the party. This is not my party this is your party and I will see you on Sunday at our conference.
