As of posting, government org passwords have not yet been transferred from Dokomo to me at my request; I will conduct the transfer via IRC when we are both online so that there is no lag time in the password change (a security precaution, necessary in light of the last changeover). I will update this when the passwords are changed.

ISP Headquarters in Neo-Tokyo, Kanto region prepares for a major election

Imperial Sun Party Presidency

As promised, if elected country president of our fine eRepublik, I will continue the tradition of Dokomo, Oraizan, and Minamoto of governing as an independent and step down as party president of the Imperial Sun Party. Elections are coming up quickly on January 15th.

eHungarians

It has come to my attention that a number of high-rank, high-strength eHungarians received citizenship approvals shortly before the election. I am investigating this, and I suspect Koppanyi Ferenc is involved with it. While I do not yet have conclusive proof, I strongly discourage the creation of private armies which might operate counter to the [orders] of the government. Recently, we have encountered well-equipped armies fighting unauthorized before in eJapan, particularly the resistance wars last month, and generally speaking, it undermines the credibility of the government. This is one reason why, despite knowing him and working alongside him in eJapan for more than six months, I have not only declined to offer him any place in government, but the former Secretary of the Army will not be accepted into, nor funded by, the JIA.

It is unfortunate that for many eJapanese, old loyalties die hard. I remain committed to the creation of a strong and independent eJapanese state. If any of the eHungarians runs for congress, I will instruct the JEC and party presidents to oppose their candidacies. As for the eHungarian that I approved on December 24th before leaving congress, he indicated to me an interest in real life Japan as well as staying in eJapan long-term.

Someone put together a nice list of the "suspected phoenix plants" here:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AmJbljwVBL7hdGJPbkU1emFJTDdvd0E4dnFwM0plcUE&hl=en

The list contains a few errors, such as Sohfeeuh (edit: she has been removed from the list) and rikugun hare, a former eJapanese member of congress. Godzilla Party members should remember him as the candidate who was defeated by Godzilla Party candidate suzuki22 (ISP is not the only party that gets lousy members of congress who are banned for "multis&quot😉 in the August Congressional Elections. However, the Office of Immigration will investigate the others to determine their actual intent.
