This is intended to be in cohesion with my recent Q&A article. If I missed your question on the Q&A, sorry; feel free to PM me. I had a lot of questions and thus missed a few in the comments I bet.

Q: Are we broke? Why did we take a 2k gold loan from Spain?

A: We are not broke. We still have thousands of gold. Spain offered us an interest-free loan. I decided to take it because I favor the better safe than sorry ideology. We use the same tactics PEACE uses to hide our gold. No one except myself, the Secretary of the Treasury, and a few select people know how much gold we have. That is good, as PEACE never knows how much money we have left. We are not broke and I don't ever intend to become broke.

Q: Why doesn't region X have a Q5 Defense System?

A: Your region likely doesn't have a Q5 DS because it does not have the necessary population for it to be worth our money. The general break even point is a place with over 750 citizens. Anything below that and a Q5 DS is not worth the money. As you can see, with California, I will not hesitate to place Defense Systems. We're working on contracting another Q5 Hospital to place in reserve in case we need it. 3 Q5 Hospitals are more than enough.

Q: Why don't you attack Russia/France/Indonesia?!

A: Because of a little thing called game mechanics. You see, whenever the USA is under attack, we cannot attack another country. If Indonesia attacks us, we cannot attack any nation for the duration of Indonesia's attack. Also, if we lose versus Indonesia, we cannot attack them for 24 hours. Likewise, if we win versus Indonesia, they cannot attack us for 24 hours, and we can then attack them. It is, in essence, a turn based attack system. Right now, PEACE can simply "pass the baton" and "block" us (meaning have a country attack us so we can't attack any other country). Since we have borders with so many PEACE nations, this is an effective strategy. Mind you, we have plans to prevent this, but at the current time, our best strategy is to defend. I repeat, defend.

Q: I'm new, any tips?

A: Yes, I have three. One, join our forums at http://www.eusforum.com. Two, join our IRC chat. If you don't know how to join our IRC, that's very simple to solve.. join our forums to get help. Our server is irc.rizon.net and our chat room is #usa-chat or #congress for a more.. civil discussion. Finally, contact your Party President and ask to get involved, and find your party forums to make your own "niche"

Q: My wellness.. what about that?

A: Wellness is a tricky thing. It gets harder each day to raise it the higher you get. However, my advice is this: No matter what, end each day at 90+ wellness. Do not, unless told otherwise, fight down to 40 wellness. It's not worth it and we lose productivity. To be strong as a country, we must have the most productivity we can. Don't think of it as helping yourself with your productivity, think of it as helping your country

Q: Why is Canada so important?

A: Well, that's a good question. Here is the answer: If we lose Canada, we're surrounded. I mean it, we'll be boxed in by PEACE. That is not a good predicament to be in. Canada has never been anything but a staunch ally of the United States and, even under invasion, sometimes Canadian regions represent higher strategic value to the United States than some of our western regions. If Canada falls, we'll be opening ourselves to a dozen front war.. I guarantee you. Canada has been doing a great job battling Russia to get our regions back for us. We have to and we will return the favor. If you don't like it, elect a new President.

Q: Why is the USA losing this war so badly?

A: I'd say we're losing the first round of a long boxing bout. This is going to be a war of attrition. It's going to be who can tank the least and win the most. PEACE, no matter what their citizens have been saying, has been taking a lot more than us. They are getting hit hard in the pocket. We have to remain vigilant and remember that while we may lose some regions, we will win the overall war. The strength of America is unmatched and we will continue to show it.

Q: Our allies suck. Why aren't they helping us?

A: Wrong again, my friend. Our allies have done us a great service. Finland and Norway have been hitting Russia and Hungary to block them for us. North Korea bravely stuck their neck on the line to attack Russia and now face a PTO threat on their home soil. Romania has bravely gone toe to toe with Hungary and even successfully retrieved Podolia, a business mecca, to help with the war effort. Taking Hungary out of the equation is a big help. Sweden has helped at some point and Spain has been our best ally yet by attacking France, risking their home soil, and giving us a loan. I don't have time to name all of our allies but each and every one of them have been enormous to our survival. To say our allies have been doing a poor job shows a gross lack of understanding of game mechanics and I'd urge you to find your nearest intelligent newspaper and read it very quickly.
