An Address to Our Nation

Citizens of Canada and the New World,
In this grave hour, perhaps the most fateful in our history, I send to every
household of my fellow citizens, both at home and overseas, this message, spoken with the same depth of feeling for each one of you as if I were able to cross your threshold and speak to you myself.
The eUS has turned their back on us, and did not invite us, eCanada, into those negotiations. We may not be a world power, but we sure are not second to the eUS, a long and faithful ally until recently. Rylde, our president has returned for a second term and promises us that we shall not be considered second to the eUS.

Its a full membership or we go to the trenches and use the split in USA over this to have them help us in all RW;'s that will take place.

As Rylde has stated, the eUS is split over this decision. Many congress members are angry about the turn of events, but just as many are calling for war with our nation. This will and cannot stand. If we are to go to war, we will fight to the bitter end and spam the bastards of the United States with coordinated resistance wars and acts of sabotage. We have support from our international allies, and support from citizens of the United States. There is a reason I assure you, that Stevens did not run again, and I think the split of the eUS will answer that for you.
Should we go to war we will stand united. We will fight to the very end because it is for a purpose all of us will agree on. To die fighting the United States rather than become a puppet will prove our stance to the world, in the name of defiance and purpose. It "is better to be graved, than to be slaved."
It is to this high purpose that I now call my fellow citizens and my fellow peoples across the seas, who will make our cause their own. I ask them to stand calm, firm, and united in this time of trial. The task will be hard. There may be dark days ahead, and war can no longer be confined to the battlefield. But we can only do the right as we see the right, and reverently commit our cause to Rylde. If one and all we keep resolutely faithful to it, ready for whatever service or sacrifice may demand, then, with Rylde's help, we shall prevail.

First of all, the threat of an attack from the USA is slim to none. WE have nothing in the way of resources that they require and conquring out regions would just hurt them in the end. If the do attack, so what. There attack on us will be to just make a statement. We easily win our regions back through resistance wars. If Ryle can stay calm and be respectful (doubful) they will leave us be.
Second of all, U r upset that they did not invite us to be a part of the backstab that they plan on doing to our allies. Then in your next sentance u say that our allies will help us.
Which is it? do u want to be with the Americans or do u want to stand with our long time allies?

There are other alternatives. Is is better to be in the grave than to have a seat of honour at the table, guaranteed wealth, security and plenty of interesting gameplay?
If the NAP becomes a reality, you can always just say "naw, don't want to be part of it". To which the US reaction will likely be "meh, okay".
Perhaps, but isn't it also possible that the US would want to secure its northern border and complete the Manifest Destiny? People like war, thats what this games about, so people dont care who with.
One things for certain whether we join or not...
eCanada will always have a seat at the kiddie table. A gamechanger for us would be an alliance that gets our interests highlighted with some wars that win us regional bonuses
All the other stuff about being bros that support allies is honourable.But, it would be better to just get CS at bro's house if you like his honour and wealth so much.

Plug: quite right. The last three years, ecanada has consistently punched above it weight class. It has earned a place of honour as an independant group. I would imagine the group seeks its own continued prosperity and security. Whether this alliance or another better promotes that will be for canadians to decide. I simply doubt the likelihood that the US will feel threatened in the event ecanada says "naw, no thanks". Invade, or propose NE of US again and all bets are off Richard. 🙂

i think its too soon to tell. Because surely others have been taking the same route as us. And we still don't know the complete details on the alliance or if its even a for sure thing yet.
I'm sorry but hubris now trumps strategy and the long-range win. How we can bring our allies to the table when we've gone and overturned it as they sat down with another group of players?? I can see how this might work in your own diningroom, where the 'man of the house' can set his own dinnertable rules. As a visitor looking for a seat at the adult table, throwing a tantrum doesn't earn a booster seat upgrade.
Bets are off because we don't have the foresight to see what's on the table.
My hopes are with Shoi12 and that Rylde does more with him than make him write MoFA articles.

it really feels like little canada is pissed off yet again that nobody cares what we do. yeah sure we can do a lot more damage than similarly sized countries, we still arent a mega nation end of story.
just because you can afford a race car does not mean you will win the f1 drivers championship (just look at all the nobody teams in that sport)

If u could be attacked by the US why are you NE us? What did the eUK do to you? HEll its too late now to go back but your like the backstabbing French. We coordinate attacks on each others coasts so that we can finally finish our NE and they push further inland. Its gonna be like last time. You were pushed back fast when we got going.
