American Border Collie for Congress!

Day 969, 13:38 Published in Singapore USA by American Border Collie

Hello Singapore. I have decided to run under the Singapore National Unity Party banner for eSingapore Congress this time around.

Now, for those of you who do not know who I am, I am American Border Collie (a.k.a. ABC). I was born in the eUSA about two years ago and have been around eRepublik long enough to know how things work around here. I have not held any Congress or Presidential seat, but have assisted many administrations in an advisory capacity and have held various minister offices, most recently, the Minister of Communications office under the Atracurium administration. Although I am currently acting as the Minister of Security, it was not an office that I was appointed to in a publically official manner. I feel that I would make a great candidate inside and out.

Inside...

Recently, eSingapore has come under attack from a band of PTO'ers. I am doing my part to help in our battle to defend our beloved nation from this threat. With the advent of V2, many of the tools that were used to track the activity of the PTO accounts became useless. We need to better manage our risks inside, meaning that the Citizenship Awards need to be tightly monitored. I cannot stress enough the risk that this vulnerability presents.

Economically, we are not a very strong nation. We do not have any high resources and need to rely on trade to obtain the raw materials we need to survive. I advocate minimal import taxes and VAT tax to help facilitate the trade and use of Raw Materials for our domestic finished goods companies. For finished good import taxes, I support maximizing the taxes to protect our finished goods jobs, and only lowering it in the event that there is not enough supply to meet demand.

By lowering the VAT and Import Taxes on the Raw Materials, it will help to keep domestic production costs down, and hopefully, open up an export market where our surplus goods are sold, and help bring in some revenue from foreign buyers.

...And Out

I support training wars. However, to do that, we need to solidify relations with our allies. We must vote for alliances and MPPs to get into the training wars that other larger countries hold. The military module is new, and we would be greatly burdened in a real war if we did not know how it worked.

I know I am a pacifist and Singapore is neutral, but without a plan or relationship to fall on, we are all screwed.

Well, that's all I really need to say. If you have any questions, post in the comments below. I will do my best to answer them all.
