My fellow Americans, I speak to you today not as a member of S.E.E.S. but as a citizen of these United States like yourself.
We have our differences and these are well understood, but now is not the time for them.
The PTO'd Republican Party has made an 11th hour push in membership, likely having waited till the last minute to have their multi's and Hungarian operatives join so as to catch us as off guard as possible.
I should not have to tell you how bad this is, but to be clear we have a PTO threat in every single state of the Union, running under the Republican Party banner. If even one of these should get through, the consequences will be dire.
The other Top 4 American parties, the Executive branch and many others are in the process of hammering out a strategy to counter this, but I ask that NO CITIZEN VOTE until they have directions from their PP. If, for whatever reason, this is not possible you should vote for the non-Republican candidate with the greatest number of votes. REGARDLESS OF PARTY.
As it stands, I am withdrawing from my own race and concede the victory to Charmander95, unless I am told otherwise by the President or ATO. He is a good man and will serve Nevada well, I have no doubt.
If you are not affiliated with a Top 5 Party, I encourage you to join one and to get on IRC and join #ATO on the Rizon server for instructions.
It is 44 minutes into election day and I will be updating this as needed as the day goes on.

The Republican Party placed all of it's candidates and called in it's mutli's, confused newbies and hungarian allies in the last minute. They did not clear any of their candidates with the Federal Elections Commission, as all the other parties did. Every Republican Candidate is, by definition, a PTO attempt. You, knowingly or unknowingly, have circumvented the rule of the Federal Government and are classified as a threat to national security as a result.
I am a supporter of the Federal Government and am running to congress to protect it. Just because I am Republican doesn't mean you shouldn't vote for me, what ever happened to voting for the CANDIDATE and NOT the PARTY!?!?!?

Cody, if you couldn't figure out from this weeks media that Americans didn't want ANY republicans in congress, then you are not cut out for congressional duty. This is about the security of the whole nation.
I do not run the Republican party. If congressional candidates are supposed to be ran by the federal government that is not my fault, not my job, but I have just as much of a right to run for congress as anyone else. Even if I get elected and am Republican it doesn't matter because I run this account and only me and I will make my own decisions when elected, and will make sure everything I do is done in the benefit of eUSA and all its citizens, I will not let Hungarian PTO'ers into eUS! If anything I will not let anyone into the US unless they come from a allied country or if I know them personally.
@twisted-pixel I honestly have not been reading any of this properganda until tonight. I have been informed by many people that this is all a scam but I don't know if it is or not so I refuse to take part in it. But all I know I am running and if I fail, I fail (Try again next month) and if I win, I win (will do what is best for American people and do what they want and need me to do 🙂

Congressional Candidates are run by Parties under the supervision of the Federal government, in order to protect America from foreign threats. It may not be your fault that you were decieved, but you are now aware and your decision to campaign is yours and yours alone. From this point on, anything you do *is* entirely your responsibility and I assure you that no legitimate party will run you next month if you continue on this path.
Anyone running against the Official List is defying the Federal Government and creating a security risk by drawing away votes from the proper candidates. No Republican must be elected!
The destruction of Democracy is never a necessary evil and I am ashamed that the eUS has stooped to such a level as to "fix" the elections of a free peoples. It's as if our citizens are not smart enough to elect who they want so our government has selected them for us. I can support the message to not vote Republican candidates, but I can not support the burning of American freedoms on a rigged election! I officially withdraw support of this effort though still support efforts to stop the PTO! This is America and our freedoms are more important than a dictatorship of a Congress decided by the government.
The American people look to their parties for political direction in times of political crisis. The parties have come together and came to an agreement on the surest way to counter this threat. There are approximately 300 votes out there that need to be countered and any one PTO candidate that slips by makes the problem that much worse. They have the ability to direct their votes precisely and if we are to counter this threat, we must do exactly the same. Chris Odom is pissed because he was not on the list of ATO Candidates and is more concerned with furthering his own political career than acting to preserve the safety of the American Political Process. I gave up my candidacy and gladly did so, because America is more important than me. Don't be a dick. Save America.

I have a proposition to make. The eUS is nothing like rl American government, since the states are merely districts of the federal government, and have no capacity to govern themselves. If states were given some level of sovereignty, and some sort of actual government the danger of PTOs would be much less. Why?
If citizens of a state had their own government (mind you this would require a massive change in game-mechanics, and is unlikely to ever happen) they would form a tightly bound local community, and be informed about the candidates running in their own states. Since there would be vicious and hard-fought elections for representatives in Congress in these semi-sovereign states, no one who hasn't been fully scanned and observed by the public in these states will be elected, or it would be unlikely.
Of course, pto's then could just target individual states and overwelm the election.
So I offer another solution to this problem. Make a rule that a player will have to live in the eUS for a month or two before they are permitted to become a citizen. This will make it harder for a nation which wants to PTO us, because the number of its citizens required to be sent to the eUS would greatly reduce its economic prowess in the mean time and making the gamble of PTO more dangerous than beneficial.
Of course, even this has problems.
The enemy nations (Or those posing to be our friends, which could be an even more dangerous threat if we do not choose our allies wisely. Please note I do not make accusations against any country, I just distrustful of alliances in general, despite their many benifits in this game.) could just make mulitiple accounts all who start as citizens in the eUS, and since a naturally born citizen has the automatic right to vote (and the ability to do so within days of starting) and we are still at risk.
Sadly, the only solution I can offer to this is individual vigilence and study of the candidates before voting.

Unfortunately a residency requirement alone will not prevent PTO's like this. Many of the votes/members were from multi accounts where the players were born in the eUSA and therefore granted automatic citizenship.
