Akció és reakció

Kétfajta ország van erepen, az, amelyik előre tervez és cselekszik, és a másik, amelyik szintén próbál előre tervezni, de inkább csak reagál a történésekre. Namármost a reakció nem rossz dolog, de aki ezt az utat választja, az szükségszerűen elveszti a kezdeményezést, a cselekedetei kiszámíthatóvá válnak, és a lehetséges mozgástere is leszűkül arra, amit a kezdeményezőbb ország(ok) meghagynak neki. Gyakorlatilag lecsökken a cselekvési szabadságuk, ha nem megszűnik és kényszerpályán mozognak.

A kisebb, és gyengébb országoknál ez a fajta cselekvési stílus nemhogy jó, de szükségszerű is, hiszen nem is tudnának önállóan stratégiát tervezni és kivitelezni, hanem muszáj az áramlatokkal együtt mozogniuk, és csak remélhetik, hogy ez nem lesz nagyon rossz nekik. De ha egy ország nő, fejlődik, erősödik, akkor már elvárják tőle, hogy kezdeményezzen is, és ehhez bizony hosszútávú stratégia is kell, nemcsak a nagy szomszéd kitervelt mozdulataira való reagálás.

Magyarország szerintem itt van most. Megnőtt, megerősödött, megszervezte már az erőit (legalábbis láttam már jeleit ennek), a gazdaság nő és egyre többet produkál – és a másik oldalon a mozgástere drasztikusan lecsökkent a közelmúlt történései miatt. Itt az ideje hát, hogy már ne a mások által diktált pavanét járja, hanem a saját kardtáncát. Fel kell mérni a lehetőségeket, gondosan és hosszútávra előre tervezni, merni és cselekedni. Ne legyünk tovább a végzet rabjai!

Álljatok készen! Az idő közeleg. A viharfelhők már gyűlnek s a vihar hamarosan kitör.

Action and reaction

There are two types of countries on erep, the ones who plan and act, and the ones that also plan, but only follow the events and react. Now, reaction is not at all bad, I am not saying that, but those, who choose this type of behaviour lose the initiative, and soon their moves become calculable, their possible moves are determined by the availability of the chances that are controlled by the acting countries. I short their choices become limited, or even predetermined.

Now, for small/weak countries this type of behaviour is not only good, but unavoidable, for they have neither the power nor the clout to plan grandiose strategies on their own, so they must move with the currents and hope that it will not be too bad for them. But as a country grows, it is expected to take the initiative more and more often, and for this plan its own long-term strategy, and not only react to a big neighbour’s.

Hungary is at this point IMHO. It grew, it strengthened and it should have organized its forces by now (I can see its signs but not all), its economy is growing and producing more and more – and on the other hand, its elbow-room has drastically decreased by recent moves of neighbours. So, it should now take the initiative and act. It is time not to dance the pavane that is expected by others, but their own sword-dance. Estimate the forces and possibilities carefully, plan meticulously and for the long term, dare and act. Do not be the prisoners of fate anymore.

The time is here, now or never!
